  • Super Small, Super Cheap, Not Secure
This product is very low quality, it's made of cheap wood that I'm sure won't hold up long term. The pieces and instructions don't completely match up, the design seems impractical for any use really. It is also super small and the pictures are misleading, I wouldn't recommend really keeping any more than one single hen in this thing. I purchased it to keep my baby chicks in, however, it's even too small for them to be in. Would return, but it's already constructed and it's a Hassel to take back apart and ship. Do not buy this. ... show more

  • Good rabbit house
As others have stated this coop is very small, but we read the dimensions and were aware of it. Definitely not for standard size chickens, but maybe 2-3 bantams. We have chickens, but we purchased this for our rabbits and it will due just fine for them. There will only be 1 bunny per cage & ours are mini rex & a small Dutch. Larger rabbits such as Californians and larger may be a little to big. The structure overall seems sturdy and the thickness of the wood is thicker than my other coops. Overall it's a very cute coop. My only complaint is the divider inside- it's super thin & was warped on all 4 of the ones we bought, husband will make a new one. Door fasteners are a little cheesy too & we will replace those. Assembly was super easy & fast. Took about 30 minutes to assemble each one. One of the coops was missing a piece, contacted seller and was met with excellent customer service. My replacement was shipped in the next day or so. I would buy from this seller again & possibly buy this coop again for our small bantams who we need to keep separate. ... show more

  • House 3-4 Adult Quail
I’ve used this coop to house 3-4 adult quail outside for 18 months. Pros: *Affordable *Easy to assemble *Light enough to move *Quail love the space under the ramp. *Quail love to nest in hay in the upper compartment. *The width is narrow enough to be able to reach in to catch the quail. *The height is low enough that the quail cannot jump and injure themselves. Cons: *Roofing does not hold up to the weather long term. It started leaking after 12 months. *Latches are not predator proof. I replaced them. *Wire hardware cloth is not predator or mouse proof. It is stapled on the inside which would allow a predator to push it in. Predators could also snag a leg or wing through wire. Mice can fit through the openings I added a second layer of smaller hardware cloth to the outside. *The narrow depth does not offer enough shade during the summer. I covered my quail area with a shade cloth. ... show more

  • Definitely overpriced
I purchased this with the intention to expand the enclosure by placing fencing around it, and to house quail, so I was aware it was pretty small. Negative points just for this product being titled a chicken coop, though. You can't try and put a chicken in here that'd be cruel. I read in another review that the wood reeks of chemicals, and that is correct, it does, it's pretty bad. As for quality—bad. The wood around the roof pieces came slightly splintered and falling apart, but it was fixable damage. Some of the hole imprints were placed so a regular-sized screwdriver couldn't quite get it at the right angle so in those situations the screws were either screwed in slightly tilted or I had to screw somewhere else on the wood which caused cracking. Honestly just spend slightly more money for a larger and better quality product, this has no business being anywhere over $100, honestly. ... show more

  • Cheaply made, tiny
I have never written a review on Amazon but if this saves someone money, so be it. It is tiny, and that’s not even my complaint (because I read the dimensions). However, pay attention to the size, it could maybe accommodate one small animal. Ours arrived May 25 and in less than a month- the screws have fallen out of the ramp and the wood split (no way to repair). The little “stopper” to keep the largest door from pushing in has also just fallen off. The tray you slide out to clean up has also now completely fallen apart. The wood just splits, it’s very soft brittle wood held together by staple size “nails”. My daughter has now wasted $180 because we can’t return it and we can’t use it. ... show more

  • It's very small, but I read the reviews and saw the measurements.
I read the reviews, and everyone complained of how small it is. It is very small, but if you see the product description with the photo that shows all the dimensions, then you'll be prepared. I purchased it for our chicks that are about 5 weeks old and it's perfect for them, we have 7. So we are only using as transitional home until they're big enough for the big girl coop. I think the run could be bigger even for rabbits. PROS: Easy to assemble, I assisted my 10 and 11 year olds as they assembled it. Shipped super fast. I like that the bottom of the coop part pulls out for cleaning, however it was stuck when we completed assembling it, and I had to dismantle a part of it to free it, so just make sure it can slide in and out easily before attaching the second part. CONS: Little bit expensive for the size, I paid $173.00 on 08-19-20. I think it's worth maybe $125. But I couldn't find anything better, for some reason Amazon is sold out of most coops. Small. Too small for adult hens, unless you are only using this for sleeping and letting them out in the morning. If that's the case, then it's only suitable for 2 hens, maybe 3 bantams. ... show more

  • Serves its purpose
This coop was pretty easy to put together. However, the wood was very cheap and the tray broke only a week or so after putting it together. The vendor was very responsive when I asked for the part to be replaced. Not only did they replace what broke they did it quickly. I have 4 chicks and there is more than enough room for them to move around in it. I would suggest if you are going to put a feeder or waterer in there that it can be attached to the side wire or its on the smaller side. ... show more
