Part 2 of my review that absolutely nobody asked for… First, customer support reached out regarding my concerns and they truly made it right. Their responses were quick, and the resolution process was smooth from start to finish. That level of customer service deserves an extra star ⭐️ Now this part is specifically for my fellow short peeps and back-pain survivors. I was the experiment. I did the research. You’re welcome. 🫱🏻🫲🏼 If you’re tall, you can skip this section because this size chair was made for you. Yes, I know it literally says “Big and Tall” in the description. In my defense, when I was shopping for chairs I thought, “Wow, it checks off all my dreams.” It’s big, looks comfy, has all these extra features, and it’s nice to look at. Basically the chair version of a walking red flag that I ignored because it was attractive. 🚩😂 (You can see my original thoughts on all those extra features below ⬇️) Anyway, after several 8+ hour workdays, I realized our relationship was toxic and it was time to break up. 💔 Turns out, what I thought I wanted and what my back actually wanted were two very different things. After just a few days of increasingly painful workdays, I started doing some research (shoutout to GPT) and realized that because of my height, the oversized seat was likely a big part of the problem. I’m 5’1”, and the recommended seat depth for someone my size is generally around 16–17 inches. This chair’s seat depth is nearly 20 inches. I couldn’t comfortably sit all the way back while maintaining support, so throughout the day I slowly migrated toward the edge of the chair like a confused penguin trying to return to the ocean. 🐧 The deeper seat also meant I was constantly putting extra strain on my lower back, glutes, and even my legs. By the end of the day, I was unwell. To say the least, my lower back was not sending thank-you notes. It was filing formal complaints with management.😂 So if you’re petite like me, definitely pay attention to the measurements before purchasing any office chair. If you’re taller, you may have a completely different experience and absolutely love it. That said, the company’s customer service absolutely deserves recognition. They were responsive, professional, and genuinely willing to help. The chair wasn’t the right fit for me, but their support team was 🫶🏼 ______ Pt 1: As someone with scoliosis and constant back pain, I’m always hunting for anything that might make sitting less offensive to my spine 😂 So working remotely, I wanted something supportive, comfy, and honestly a little extra… so when I saw “heat + kneading massage” instead of the usual vibrating chair gimmick, I decided to take the chance. First off — assembly. The instructions were definitely more “vague life suggestions” than actual directions, BUT surprisingly it wasn’t difficult and I had it together in about 30 minutes, and we love that. The cushions are on the firmer side — not hard, think more like a firm mattress. Personally, I prefer that because softer chairs usually destroy my back after a few hours. I’m also assuming it’ll soften up over time. The extendable footrest? Elite. Absolutely my jam. I can actually sit upright while still having my feet propped up, and it feels sturdy. Now onto the feature we all came here for: ✨THE MASSAGE✨ To this chair’s credit — it actually kneads. It does NOT feel like two cell phones vibrating inside a pillowcase, which honestly already puts it above half the “massage chairs” online. The kneading is centered in the lower back area and stays stationary, so if you want it higher up you’ll need to recline the chair a bit. The pressure is decent and honestly does help. Is it life changing? No. Does it feel good after building the chair? Absolutely. Now… here’s my issue. Whoever designed this chair made one absolutely unhinged decision. When you turn the massage off, the kneading balls don’t retract back into the chair — they just stop wherever they are. Which means you can feel the hard little lumps sticking out afterward. Maybe some people wouldn’t notice this. I, however, am apparently the Princess and the Pea because I noticed IMMEDIATELY 😭 It turns what should be a comfy chair into a constant “why did nobody think this through?” situation. The little pillow helps when not using the massage feature, but still. Now let’s discuss the heat feature, because this one humbled me. Partly on me for not fully reading the description, but turns out the heat is ONLY in the seat. So your butt gets cozy while your actual aching back sits there receiving absolutely no emotional support 😂 Also, the heat is warm at best — definitely not that deep heated therapy feel I was expecting. Material-wise though, the chair feels solid and better quality than I expected. The wiring situation takes some getting used to, but a simple zip tie fixes most of the dangling cord issue so it doesn’t catch in the wheels. Just know you are 100% committing to entering into your “office chair with life support cables” era and have to be mindful of the wires attached to your chair/wall… Overall: Do I hate it? No. Do I love it? Also no. Do I plan to sit in it daily while questioning the engineering choices? Absolutely. This chair really could’ve been SO good if they thought through the details a little more. The features that sold me are nice in theory, but fall a little short in execution.
