I was debating whether to get an entire new office chair with a built-in headrest, but had some misgivings about spending $. Saw this with a 15% coupon which made the price even more attractive and gave it a shot. What's in the box: ============== It comes with 2 different sized brackets made to accommodate the the thickness of your chair as well as the appropriate screws sized in length to do the same. You also have the option to screw into your chair directly. Also comes with what they called a 'non-slip' strip which on touching it is not really sticky at all, but maybe for the purpose of clamping this down to your chair it is. Lastly a square piece of mesh cloth to place on the area where you will be mounting the headrest. Assembly ======= Pretty simple. Attach non-slip strip to your chair, attach the appropriately sized bracket to the headrest using the right-sized screws, loosely attach the headrest over the mesh cloth and tighten. Cons: ==== It's really hard to tell if this unit is a good fit for your chair based on the curvature of back as illustrated in the listing. I think it would help if they had a picture someone sitting in an non-compatible chair so we can get a better idea if it will fit yours. It should also be noted that adjustments to this headrest is limited only to adjusting the height. You cannot adjust it forward or backwards. DO NOT BUY. This headrest is completely unsupportive and will likely not actively support your neck while sitting. You have to specifically lean back to use it, and even then the headrest still doesn't even provide support. Its flimsy, if you lean back the headrest moves and is completely useless.

The clips are too small for my chair. I have a mesh back chair similar to the one in the product page videos, but it turns out my plastic frame is just a bit thicker and hence none of the clips were wide enough. I tried to tighten the screws with the biggest one just barely hanging on, but it just popped off over and over. I could try the screw method, which mean drilling holes into the plastic frame, but it's obvious from other reviews that this would be very flimsy and provide no support ( and likely just chew away at the plastic toon enough. This turned out way better than I hoped for. I used a drill to really get it on. Screwed it on both ends. I recommend doing that. Cosmetic it’s still looks good. I can see how ppl complain that it forces your head a bit too forward but I personally prefer it that way as I lean back in my chair and my screens are raised a bit high. If for an end of bed chair in my RV office. I tried the pillow version of this but it wasn’t high enough for me. I highly recommended this one. After some customization it works on my leap v2 chair. The adjustment feature is not nice, but it does the job. Saves my money from a $150+ aftermarket headrest.

Unless you are a child, this is barely a neck rest, even in the upright sitting position. I honestly can't imagine anyone actually using this for any reason, especially reclining. If you recline the chair and lay your head all the way back, it might be okay for resting your neck/head against it, but even as a short person at 5'6", the top of the 'head rest' barely touches the bottom of the back of my skull. I would strongly suggest not leaning on this with your full weight of your head, because it feels like it will pull right off, even with the screws in the optimal position. I'm going to try to return this asap, because it will not do anything for a normal ergonomic office chair, exactly like the one in the image. I have the 'BestOffice | Ergonomic Office Chair | Mid-Back Swivel Desk Chair | Breathable Backrest & Lumbar Support | Adjustable Height | Sponge Seat | Rolling Wheels | Dark Black | for Adults & Women', so if this is the type of chair you have, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS THING.     • Perfect for Steelcase Leap V2

This headrest is exceptional and provides great head support in my Steelcase Leap V2. However, I had to tweak the installation slightly to ensure it stays securely in place. I used the grip installation method (without drilling any holes) but the included piece of cloth was too slippery to use as shown in the instructions. Instead, I used 2 strips of black "grip premium" drawer liner from Home Depot (the one that is made of very soft rubber and has square holes in a checkered pattern). With these strips under the metal brackets the grip is very strong. You can then attach the included piece of cloth to the front of the brackets with a double sided tape to neatly hide them.
