Our original unit worked well for nearly a year. It was an outstanding machine and we never ran out of ice. However, after a year we encountered a loud noise and it stopped making ice. I was extremely frustrated thinking I had wasted money. I contacted their customer service and received feedback on a possible fix and clean. Loved this purchase, purchased it in September 2024 unfortunately today out of the blue it’s no longer making ice. It says bin is full but no ice is coming out. Reached out to customer support and waiting for a response back. Noise level isn’t too bad it’s not loud. Easy to use, and clean. Makes ice real fast.

Update 9/21/2022: Silonn never returned any of my emails or contacted me back. Don't buy this one. I lost the price of this item and because we really loved having an icemaker, now I have to purchase another one. I'm not happy. UPDATE: 08/14/2022: My beloved icemaker is now emitting an oily yellow chemical into the water retaining basin. As you can imagine, I won't be using this icemaker again! Naturally, it happens when I'm just past my Amazon return window so I've contacted the manufacturer, Silonn for assistance with getting a replacement. I will update my review according to their response. I do hope it was just a defective item and they will send me a new one. I miss it already! I'm taking one star off for now but if they replace it promptly and the new one works I'll add back the star! I've been looking at these for a while now since my new fridge didn't have an ice maker and I thought I could just use ice trays. TBH the ice trays just weren't for me. I work 3 jobs and I just don't have a lot of time to mess around with ice trays. I understand if you think that's stupid and if ice trays work for you, more power to you but they just didn't work for me. So, anyway, I've been looking at these countertop ice makers but they are so pricey and I just couldn't bring myself to hit "place order" on any of them. But I was going to have guests over for dinner and I wanted to have ice so I finally bought this one after researching about 50 of them. I LOVE it. I use it every single day and so does my daughter. I love having easy, quick access to ice without having to mess with ice trays. This machine is easy to refill, easy to clean and easy to operate. I've only used the small ice cubes and they are plenty large enough for me. It makes ice fast. It is a bit noisy but my kitchen is one of those kinda long ones so I just put it on the counter farthest from the living area and I really only hear it when I'm in the kitchen cooking and making noise anyway. If your kitchen is right near your living or sleeping areas it might be a problem for you but it's fine for me. I love it so much that I'm really kicking myself for not buying it sooner. If you are teetering on the edge of deciding to buy one and you see this review, buy it! It is worth every penny.

First I only use reverse osmosis water on any ice maker or ice machine. And you should too or your only asking for problems. I've had 3 Opals, they all go out after a time, so I decided to give this a shot. I like the smaller size, the easier fill, the wifi works perfectly, and I schedule this to run only 12 hours a day. No need to run it from 11p to 8a and then when our electric rates are super high from 4p to 7p. Not only is it only scheduled 12 hours day, it probably only runs for 3 or 4 hours a day, a huge energy savings and extends the life of the product. The ice bin could be a little better insulated and a little bigger, but that's my only gripes. It makes ice fast and on par with the opal. Remember if you don't have reverse osmosis you're just asking for trouble with any ice maker. Plus you want clear ice. Noise levels are totally fine too....

I bought this for my daughter as a Christmas gift. Made ice fast and she loved it. And then 6 months later, it just completely fried out, where it would make a loud screeching noise whenever it was turned on. The item has a one year warranty, and when I called the company to make a warranty claim, after some back-and-forth, they agreed to replace the unit. However, it’s been almost 2 months, and they keep telling me that the replacement order is “processing.” I’m questioning whether I’ll ever receive it, if I do I’ll update. Update: it took 2 months but I did receive a new unit, as promised. Bottom line, the company honored the warranty. Hopefully this one lasts longer than the first one, because when it’s working it produces good ice and makes it quick.

Update!! It’s been about 6 months and it’s emptying the water from top tray into bottom of machine when I first turn it on half of the water was gone into the bottom and no ice, then red light comes on. I’ve cleaned it as directed in the manual it’s wasting half of the tank water into the bottom. I bought an extended warranty hopefully they honor it because for 300.00 it should not be doing this after 6 months . I’m going GE next time..I’ve have had it two weeks, it makes ice fast compared to my last ice machine, I like that the ice basket drains any water, also the water reservoir comes out or you can refill while it’s in its drawer . I also hooked up the WiFi which was super easy, now I get notified when water is out, trays full.

Works well for a while. The size and functionality are great at first. I bout it in May and was very happy until it started making a horrible loud noise. I think the auger is going out after only seven months. I’m not that impressed.
