I bought this as a gift to myself for moving into my first apartment. This machine was the best machine ever! And as a lover of chewy/soft ice, it was perfect for my cravings and to add to my drinks. I followed the instructions with cleaning weekly and then I became noticeably sick. Lost my voice, had terrible coughs that woke me out of my sleep, runny nose, scratchy throat. I checked the machine and of course. There was mold accumulated in the second reservoir despite me cleaning every week and taking preventative measures. I have only used the machine for less than a month! I was disgusted and just didn’t feel safe deep cleaning because you can’t exactly get into the tubing and holes. I can’t return it because obviously I’ve used it and even though I had a warranty, they wouldn’t replace it because it’s not considered a defect. I contacted the company and they only offered a $10 credit towards a new machine for my situation. How ridiculous! I threw the machine away. I’m traumatized to buy another machine if it’s just going to accumulate mold in areas that I can’t get to! I would include the pictures but it looked so disgusting and made my stomach turn so I will not do that to anyone reading this. 😭 Overall disappointed with this machine, the company and my experience. If you do decide to get it, just know that if mold accumulates in your machine and you want to replace with a new machine, it’s NOT covered by the warranty so don’t even bother asking the company or Amazon.

Nice machine. It's compact and easy to use. It's a bit louder than I'd like, but not horribly intrusive, unless you are super sensitive to noises. It also puts out a bit more warm air than I expected, again not a real concern to me. I noticed one by another major manufacturer in Coscto that was identical to it, just name difference and it was $50 more.

Got this as a Father'd Day gift for my dad to replace our bullet ice maker... and in less than a week, this thing is already broke. It's making a weird sound that sounds like a belt that won't catch and is constantly slipping. I have no idea what's making that noise, but we had to turn it off. I though the thing was going to start smoking. When it makes the nuggets, they're great... soft and great to chew on. This is just unacceptable for over $200.

I have had other bullet shaped ice makers and can’t get along without one now. I take them with me when traveling with my travel trailer. Purchased ice on the road is iffy to me. I prefer to make my own ice. This one is for the house. No ice maker in the frig/freezer. I love the nugget ice this model produces! I realized that I like to crunch on ice, and it’s better than raiding the pantry for cookies when I feel snacks but not hungry. It quickly makes ice before I can use it up daily. I can move it around when I want to rearrange things in the kitchen or trailer.
