UPDATE!!! After the review I left, I was contacted by an EUHOMY representative apologizing for the issue I encountered. They asked me for my shipping address and a screenshot of my original purchase. About a week later, A brand new unit was delivered to my door. I didn't think there was anyone nowadays that stands behind their product, but I was wrong. Hats off to you in a great big thank you for making this right. We took delivery of this unit in October 2025 and put it service after letting sit upright for the prescribed time in the manual. When we turned it on, we loved it. Much quieter than our old unit it replaced. It produced ice fast and kept up with our supply demands. All is good, right? Now lets fast forward until late January 2026. It squeals randomly very loudly, quits making ice, and the left side as looking from the front gets over warm. It has to be unplugged and restarted multiple times to get it going again. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this unit. I cleaned it thoroughly and often, but it still let me down. 3 month lifespan equates to 3 months of very expensive ice.

6/11/25 UPDATE: Euhomy ended up replacing this under warranty, after having me jump a few hurdles and send proof that I cut the electrical cord, and sadly to say, the brand new replacement died the same noisy death in less than HALF the time, so about 3 months after it was received. I have now been without an icemaker since March, have THREE dead Euhomy icemakers sitting on my garage floor waiting for me to have time to drive them to the appliance dump. In 10 months, 3 Euhomy icemakers have all failed. ------------------------------------------------- 12/20/25 UPDATE: This icemaker died VERY loudly this week, making it the most expensive ice maker on earth with an operating life of ONLY 2 MONTHS. I am over it. I have had 2 very pricey Euhomy ice makers in 7 MONTHS BOTH DIE. No, I do not recommend. 2 completely different models and neither survived normal ice. I am LIVID. ——————————————————— Original review: I just received this last week and was able to clean and setup per the instructions. It is an attractive looking countertop icemaker with a nominal footprint. It is quieter than previous models I have had (bullet ice makers and nugget ice makers alike). It makes a great amount of ice, more than my previous Euhomy maker. I am only rating this maker 3 stars, while my previous Euhomy I slammed with a 1 star as it died in exactly 5 months of ownership. The prices of these icemakers are not cheap, and one expects them to last longer than 5 months. We will see how this model does on that front.... Gripes about Euhomy aside, things I like about this model include the blue light (can turn it on or off if you like), the well lit and easy to read status or selection modes (make ice, clean, add water), and the slide out water reservoir. I REALLY like the slide out reservoir. There is also a reserve reservoir in the back, which is nice having the volume. It just seems cleaner having your water above, rather than below, so gravity isn't pulling dust or little flying bugs right into your water area. This does not mean you don't have to clean the machine, so don't get too excited. I like the tip-out ice drawer better than lifting the top lid. This unit seems to have more separating pieces, which is good for cleaning but I am trying to determine how clean I can actually get the interior bottom clean. Aside from sticking your hand into the tip-out ice drawer compartment, this may become a nuisance process. I will find out this week when I do my cleaning. Another thing I have noticed is that the ice in this tip-out style drawer melts together and solidifies into a block (I chip it down with the ice scoop), WAY more easily that the top access style countertop icemakers. When I break it apart with the ice scoop I notice I have to exert a little more aggression, it doesn't get all the chunks broken back down as easy, and I do have ice launching onto the floor. My dogs take care of those pieces, but I am not sure that I would have gone with this model had I realized these things. I absolutely RAGED that I ended up getting another Euhomy because of the 5 month old icemaker I have of theirs that is now sitting on my garage floor waiting for me to find time to take it to the appliance disposal place. That was $190 lost, and this icemaker is even more pricey. Euhomy also never responded to that complaint about my icemaker dying in 5 months, so I have ZERO confidence they will respond if this one follows the same short lifespan. If this icemaker survives a year, I will come back on and update my rating. For now, consider my rating a caution to the consumer. May my luck and yours, be better on this one.

We've used this for a month now and have been very happy with it. We were specifically looking for a quieter machine than our last one. I will say when it is actively making ice it is not very quiet, but once the ice is made it is silent while keeping the ice nicely cold. While the instructions say to empty the ice immediately we do not, and it is always full waiting for when we want it. It fills quickly.

I wanted a nugget ice maker that could produce enough ice to keep up with me, but not cost an arm and a leg. After exhaustive research and comparisons, I chose this machine... I've been using it daily for the past few months and could not be more thrilled with my purchase. It is reasonably compact and fits easily on my counter, and under the cabinets with plenty of clearance. Cleaning is easy - I appreciate that every part is accessible for a thorough scrub when needed, and that there's a simple cleaning cycle that can be run. The water reservoir is large enough to produce quite a lot of ice over several hours and is easy to refill - even while the machine is running. The thoughtful design is ultra-convenient: the ice is made at the top and falls down to the large basket below (preventing build-up and blockage); melt-water is collected at the bottom and cycled back through to be refrozen; the ice basket tips out so you can easily scoop ice, or lift the entire basket out; a soft blue light (when toggled on) makes it easy to see water and ice levels. It doesn't leak, and is easy to drain. By necessity, it pumps out a little warm air and has an audible fan... but it isn't overly loud. It is as fast as described and cranks out lots of cute little square nuggets of ice. It is wet ice, but it melts slowly. Perfect for chewing. If you transfer to the freezer for storage, you'll need to stir it around or break it up as it hard-freezes. If you want a great little ice machine that's designed well, makes ice quickly, and is a solid value... this is the one.

Pretty good - but LOUD. Worked great for first month. Started loud grinding and has since increased in noise. It makes the ice, but it invert loud. If you have to keep this in a room near an office or bedroom- maybe think twice. Love the look of the machine and ease of use- just wish it wasnt so loud.

I purchased this November 2025 - it’s always worked great, I do regular cleaning cycles with 50/50 white vinegar and water, only use filtered water and keep it in a cool place. Recently I left for a trip and unplugged it for 5 days while I was gone. When I came back I ran a cleaning cycle and then attempted to make the ice. However, now it runs like it’s making ice, flashes “making ice” but will only make 5-6 hours cubes and then won’t make anymore. Despite a reset and unplugging and plugging back in.. nothing helps. I loved this ice machine but am very sad to already have issues 6 months after purchasing. I have contacted support via their website and no response.

Got this for wifes birthday. She loves chewey ice Im always having to stop and pick up a bag of chewy ice from local stores. Not anymore, she absolutely loves this ice maker. Not all ice makers produce this type of "chewy ice". I researched others. And this machine had great reviews and did everything i wanted. And it produces ice pretty quick! Its a good buy for what it does. Now lets see how long it will last.

I purchased this ice maker in February 2026 and initially was very satisfied with its performance. However, by May 2026, the machine began making a loud grinding noise during operation. I immediately recognized the sound because it was very similar to the noise my previous ice maker made shortly before it failed. The difference is that my previous machine lasted approximately five years before experiencing that issue, while this unit began showing signs of failure after only a few months of use. Unfortunately, the grinding noise continued to worsen, and by June 2026, the machine stopped producing ice altogether. I was extremely disappointed by the product's premature failure, especially considering how recently it had been purchased. I expected much better durability and reliability from a new appliance. Looking back, I wish I had taken more time to review customer feedback before making my purchase. After experiencing this issue and reading other reviews, I discovered that several customers had reported similar problems. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this product due to its poor longevity and disappointing performance.
