    • It's a decent chair that can be hard to assemble due to the the finish of the assembly parts.

I'm sitting in it right now. This chair is all about lumbar support. It's also stiff yet cushy enough. The height adjusts well. The tilt back feature is kind of useless unless you want to rock backwards for some reason -- mid-day stretch routine? Swivels left and right nice. Rolls around good. I bought this since I'm hybrid at the office, which works out to me going into the office twice a month. So, I needed a real office chair for home. Assembly: UGH! Even if you follow the instructions perfectly, it's hard enough. If you're someone who is used to assembling Amazon or IKEA-bought "you build it" furniture, you'll get this chair project done. But the metal castings inside the seat and back that the various screws go into vary in quality. For two screws that secure the arms to the chair and hold the seat and back of the chair to the arms' framework, it was really hard to thread two of the screws in with the included tool. I don't have a power tool screw driver with an allen wrench head, or a power screw driver at all, so i was working up quite the sweat getting the screws in. But at some point I learned that the included tool has two of the same-sized allen wrench ends, and the short end is so you can get more torque when you are putting the screws in. But still, I would say that there is something a little wrong with the machining of two of the holes because it took crazy force to get the screws all the way in. Also, it will be key to have someone hold the back steady as you attach it to the arm assembly that holds the chair together. Also, the reason the directions tell you to only 50 percent tighten the screws that go into the arm/seat/back assembly as you assemble is so you have some give to work with as you line up the subsequent screws into their holes through the arm assemblies and into the seat and back. When all the screws are in at 50 percent, then you can tighten them to 100 percent. Happy sitting! edit: After using this chair for three days, it's just about perfect. It would be perfect if the arm rests were adjustable two inches up or down. But, it's easy to flip them up and not use them at all. ... show more

    • A bit dicey to assemble

It was time for a new office chair since the old one looked kinda sad and I was more concerned with support. My partner does not sit ergonomically and seems to kvetch about back pain, but won't change their posture position in the chair. This chair has been great for that, enough cushion to look like the old sagging chair, but much more firm. The assembly takes two people for part of it. It's easy to connect the base to the bottom of the chair, but once you get to putting the back cushion on, it has to be two people. You have to keep the screws loose to maneuver to the holes where the connectors secure it. You can get the screw into the hole, but can hear and feel it is not connecting. So one person has to hold the seat back while the other maneuvers to get the connector to tighten. It uses a provided allen wrench and the instruction are clear. It took more than once or twice to do that. It did work and for the first couple of weeks that we have had it, we are happy with the chair. ... show more

I have chronic lower back pain and need to be able to adjust my chair regularly to stay comfortable. I can adjust the lumbar support, lean the chair backward as comfortable, put my feet up, etc and it’s been great for my back, especially when I’m working from home and spend several hours in the chair in front of my computer.     • Most comfortable chair - ever!!

It took a lot longer to come in than expected but it was absolutely worth the wait. Six months ago, I purchased a very highly rated chair that cost $200 dollars more than this chair. That chair has tortured my back every day I sat in it for the last 6 months. EVERY DAY. I put the chair together last night and used it for the first time today and WOW!!! Today is the FIRST day in 6 months that I have been able to put in a full day of work without having to add extra padding or take a walk to help ease my back pain. Not sure on the longevity yet but it feels like it will hold up for at least a few years. Assembly was fairly easy for one person and only took about 30 minutes which was mostly spent lining up the holes for the back and armrests and not being able to lift more than 20lbs due to a recent surgery. Having another person to help line up the holes will definitely make the process go a lot smoother. Unless something crazy happens with it, I will definitely recommend it for anyone looking for an office chair. ... show more

I absolutely love this chair! I bought a cheap chair at the beginning of the pandemic and was long over due for an upgrade. So glad I decided to purchase this chair, even after reading the reviews about the cheap looking plastic. I purchased some satin black plastic spray paint and painted all the plastic BEFORE putting the chair together. Looks amazing and only cost about $10 for paint. Note, I did purchase this during prime days… so it was a better price. But I would still buy this chair at full price. It’s so comfortable and fits me perfectly ( I’m 5’9” 190lbs). The assembly instructions were clear. All of the supplies were provided including the tools. It's actually a very comfortable chair. I'm 5'8 and I weigh 260 lbs, and the chair tilts back comfortably and I feel very supported. The high back rest is really nice. I can lay my head back and it supports my neck. This is such an improvement over my last chair which was so uncomfortable it made me feel anxious. I have some questions about the overally quality, but I look forward to using this chair. Note, I purchased aftermarket wheels and will be using those instead of the small plastic casters that came with the chair. ... show more
