I’ve been using this NordicTrack Step Climber for a few weeks now and overall it’s a solid, well-built machine that delivers a great low-impact but intense workout. : Setup took about an hour. I managed to do it by myself, but I wouldn’t really recommend that because the machine has to be tilted to attach the bottom bars on both sides. Having a second person would make that part much safer and easier. The rest of the assembly can easily be done solo. The stride height is generous, which gives a deep, effective step, but it may feel a bit too tall for some users. If you’re under 5 feet, it can feel like you’re climbing a steep hill with every step. That said, once you get used to it, it provides an excellent workout. The user interface is simple and friendly. I mostly use the Quick Start option to get a few laps in, and it works perfectly for that. Resistance adjustments are smooth and easy, and the built-in fan is a nice bonus, especially on hot days when you’re really working up a sweat. The machine feels sturdy and smooth during use. The only downside I’ve noticed is a knocking sound on the right side that started after a few weeks. It doesn’t affect performance or stability, but it is annoying and something I’ll likely need to look into. Despite the minor noise issue, this is a very effective, easy-to-use step climber that provides a great cardio and leg workout. If you want a challenging but low-impact machine with simple controls and good resistance options, this is a strong choice.

I wish I could give zero star. The product is not stable even if I paid for installation they are charging for Netflix subscription even if I have my own subscription and my wife paid $30 by mistake. There is no option to hold your phone anywhere. This is a rip off and very bad system. A very long window for delivery and I wasted my entire day.

This is a wonderful cardio machine that I debated between 4 and 5 stars, ultimately landing on 5 stars. This was strictly due to the assembly process. No, it wasn't "Hard" per se.. it was just annoying. Nordictrack provided excellent tools. The wrenches are high quality chrome and correct to size, the screw driver has a nice tip that held up well and the handle felt great, and the Allen wrenches were nice vinyl dipped T handles. With that said, the t-handles are the wrong tool for the job to install the upper elliptical arms, as they were too long to install one of the bolts without having to be at a bad angle and potentially damage the bolt head. Do yourself a favor: if you have a 15mm and 13mm ratcheting wrench, grab that before you start and grab a standard L 5mm Allen wrench. You'll be happy that you did. On to the machine: to sum it up if you don't want to read the long version, it's an excellent at home cardio piece that is halfway between an elliptical and stair climber. For reference: I do 45-60min of cardio 6 days a week as I'm preparing for a body building contest. I have a treadmill, spin bike, and now this stepclimber. I try to switch up my cardio both to ward off boredom but also to prevent overworking one set of muscles. The display: it's highly responsive and crystal clear. I have an S22i studio bike with the 22 inch screen and this little 10" screen seems clearer and more responsive. I initially thought I'd be disappointed in the 10" screen, however after spending a few minutes on the screen using iFit, you forget it's small and just enjoy the cardio. The workload: the resistance levels are linear and it's easy to find a setting that puts you right at the heart rate you're after. I've been incredibly happy with how it feels, and find myself switching up between using the handles or just the foot pads almost 50/50. I had initially thought I'd use just the foot pads, but I find that when my heart rate begins to climb, instead of lowering the resistance I just grab the handles and give my legs a reprieve. 5/5 stars on the cardio load on this machine. Stability: OK.. between this and the assembly I almost down graded to 4 stars. I'm about 210lbs at 5'8" and I can get pretty energetic when I'm really pushing to get my heart rate up. This machine isn't as stable as I had hoped. It's heavy, and the legs have a large foot print, however initially it rocked a LOT! I finally figured out that if I adjusted the rear feet to put more pressure on them, it biased the load towards the front of the machine and DRASTICALLY improved stability. It still could be a little better, however honestly I don't believe most users will be trying to push personal records on this machine, and therefore they won't experience the small amount of wiggle that I can sometimes induce. Overall this is an excellent machine that is high quality. This step trainer is an excellent value for your money, and It's nearly silent when riding it. I absolutely love this machine and will continue to use it in my fitness routine until it dies, in which case I'll likely get another one. One last thing: the iFit experience... if you're not an iFit user, or hate subscriptions, you may find that this machine lacks some of the features of other step trainers out there. With iFit, it rivals the best. Something to keep in mind when considering this piece of equipment.

All the benefits of a stair stepper with the size and mechanics of an elliptical! The stair stepper was the one thing I've missed since switching to a home gym, and this has perfectly filled that gap for me. It's very sturdy while still having a reasonable footprint and not being impossible to move around.
