Why did you pick this product vs others?: Just as advertised. I had a very old detector (late '70s model), and this thing is so much better. Great delivery and packaging. Only hiccup is the fact that the headphones didn't come with a charger, but that is on the manufacturer, not the vendor. Note that a mini USB that most people have works fine. Easy to use, powerful depth, great adjustments, and multi-frequency all for less than $500 (with all of the accessories)....great deal, should provide many hours of enjoyment and get me outside and exercising more. ... show more

Absolutely a great starter kit for a newb like me. The 2 coils come in handy and, surprisingly, the smaller on seems to be the best performing. The pinpointer is a simple, rock solid unit. The digging tool is a decent mid range digger and the finds bag is top notch. The headphones are very good too, if not overkill. The carry bag and hat cool add one too. ... show more

I’ve had my Triple Score for about 18 months now and love it. I detect at least 2-3 times a week so it gets a workout. I have used it in dirt, sand, underwater… all works great.

This is my first Metal Detector, and cannot say it work better or worst than others, but so far, it has many custom settings that can help avoid positive/ false findings. So far very nice tool and for the price, I believe it will be with for years!!

After extensive research I decided on this Nokta Triple Score PRO pack. Couldn't be more thrilled with this detector. I live on a 250 year old farmstead with an existing log and stone building that was the first tavern in the county built in 1754. After watching a very informative video from the Quarter Hoarder on Youtube I settled on settings that suited the area. I literally went out for a 5 minute test run and found a 1964 silver dime right next to our house about 6 inches deep. Not historic but I was thrilled. Well after many hours and days researching detectors, I bought this triple score. It comes with everything you need besides a sand scoop for beach hunting or a shovel for field hunting. I mainly used it on the beach. Unfortunately my unit is a dud. The first problem I had was the external speaker just didn't work, not a huge deal but annoying if I wanted to give my headphones a break. Next the charging should take 3-4h to be full, well my machines been charging for 15h+ and it has 1 battery bar or 1/3 full. There's no detecting for me today and that's why I am writing this review. If I want to use this machine, even with a external battery pack attached it will go dead on the beach. Yes I charged from multiple different outlets, USB adapters and it's 100% a machine error. As far as features, it has a lot of things I really like. The flashlight on the unit is great, the auto backlight display is nice. I like that it's waterproof. The menu system is pretty nice and simple to use. I never dig bottle caps with the bottle cap rejection on 1. It does find stuff, in fact I found a 1964 quarter and 1934 dime yesterday! They were about 6-8" deep in dry beach sand that was moved during some construction. I've had my machine for about 30 days. I used it every single day for multiple hours(3h-12h), read the manual many times, watched dozens of hours of youtube about settings and I still couldn't get the stability that I saw others getting. For my unit almost anything above 10 sens and the machine would go crazy, no matter what settings, mode or area I was detecting. I had ground balanced the machine, noise cancelled and changed multiple other settings that could contribute to a chatty machine. I couldn't ever get it to run smooth. Multiple other extremely experienced friends spent hours trying to make it run quiet, to no avail. Keep in mind, I even took it to a empty sand lot and it still would go nuts over 9 sens. I don't think most people will put in the amount of effort & time I have to trouble shoot / learn a machine fully. I'd say I have 200 hours on the machine at this point. I believe the machine I got was a dud, plan and simple. Other people love this machine and I can see why. My experience however was just not that great and I am going to buy a minelab machine & see what happens there. I used a friends Equinox 800 without every having used one before, it worked without all the chatty issues, I barely had to adjust anything and most importantly the battery actually charged! ... show more
