First, the unit was well-packaged to prevent shipping damage. All of the shelving pieces were numbered to aid with assembly, and that was very helpful. The instructions were large and clearly detailed. They indicated that two persons are needed for assembly, but I had no trouble doing it alone. The kit even included a package of extra hardware just in case something was missing or lost (but nothing was left out). It took me about an hour to assemble, proceeding at a casual pace. If I were to criticize anything, the Allen wrench that is supplied in the hardware is pretty short to get the necessary leverage for a few of the long screws -- a longer handled wrench would be useful. All furniture requiring assembly should be made by this manufacturer! The parts were clearly labeled, and even the stickers on the wooden pieces came off easily and left no residue. The manufacturer made it clear not to fully tighten hardware until fully assembled, which saved a lot of heartache in the end. The written instructions with accompanying diagrams were clear and concise. There was even a "thank you" page with a color photo of the product and a bag of spare parts included. Upon assembling the book shelf, one of the metal support pieces had a defect in the end where the screw connected it to the frame. I emailed the company and received a reply in less than 24 hours. When I saw that the company was located in China, I was pretty skeptical of getting any replacement parts, let alone in a timely manner. I couldn't have been more wrong! I received the replacement part in only a few days and they actually sent two supports, just in case there might be a problem with any of the other supports. In the original shipment there was also a packet that had ample extra parts for convenience purposes to avoid holding up your assembly process. The book shelf is nice looking, reasonably priced, and very well built. I would definitely order from this company again. Very Happy with my purchase and the Customer Service provided! ... show more
