The Simplex ultra does NOT come with the BT headphones, pictured on the box. They only come with the Sinplex Ultra “WHP” model. Pretty deceptive packaging, IMO. I ordered this detector thinking that it came with the headphones, which made this detector a great value, and was disappointed to find out that there were no headphones in the box. After doing some research as to why the headphones were missing, I discovered that they only come with the Simplex Ultra WHP model, which is not stated in the listing. Buyers beware. ... show more

My husband has been metal detecting for many years and owns detectors from all levels of the price spectrum for different environments. When he told me about this waterproof Nokta I had to get it for him. Although metal detecting in water is a lot different than dry land, this waterproof detector works as well as his others. After a nice reading of the manual I performed some tests. Most notably I was able to retrieve a self-planted tiny flake of gold I buried 10 inches in wet sand.
