I put several coins and rings in my yard and tested the detector on each item several times to get the feel and to listen to the tones of the detector. The test went very well. Distance from the coil to the coins and rings was really good. I tested out the iron discrimination on a horseshoe that I found several years ago and the test went well. The detector is lightweight, and looks cool as hell! The real test comes in the field, but as well as the tests went in the yard, I don’t expect any problems. ... show more

After a nice reading of the manual I performed some tests. Most notably I was able to retrieve a self-planted tiny flake of gold I buried 10 inches in wet sand.
