I've tried several dog foods over the years, and this Purina Pro Plan Salmon and Rice formula has been one of the most successful. My dogs get excited when it's feeding time and have continued to eat it enthusiastically long after the "new food" excitement wore off. The shredded pieces mixed with the kibble seem to make a big difference. My dogs always go after the shredded bits first, and the combination gives the food a little more variety than standard kibble alone. I've also been pleased with how well they tolerate it. Digestion has been consistent, stools have been good, and the added probiotics are a nice feature. Their coats look healthy, and they maintain good energy levels. The salmon formula is a nice alternative to the more common chicken-based foods, especially for dogs that do better with a little variety in their diet.
