I have never had anything like this. Someone at our marina used it to jump their boat and so I bought one. For something I have lived 62 yrs without using, I have used this thing multiple times in the last 6 months. Battery on my truck was going out - but would work. Had to use it twice to start my truck before I figured out battery had a short, would test fine, but then would go completely dead when trying to start truck... take it to parts store - starts fine, tests fine... Used to jump my tractor when battery was dead... I was using a dump trailer behind my truck - battery / electric over hydraulic. Used more times then normal and drained main battery, could use this to boost and dump trailer. Figured out cigarette plug in would charge it back up fast enough to keep it charged between dumps... dumped the trailer 34 times had to help probably 25. ... show more

Quality product. NOT some cheap battery booster. Holds charge for a good amount of time. Heavy - that's good in my mind. Cables are somewhat stiff, I take that to indicate solid copper wire - not cheap thin wire. Adapter fits fine. Glad I bought for all three vehicles. BTW, works great on lawn tractor that sat too long! ... show more

I have bought many NOCO products in the past and haven’t had any issues. Unfortunately regarding this item, it was defective; it simply would not take a charge, I also found that the item did not come with a standard charge cord so I have to question if this item was previously returned. Now regarding Amazon and their fulfillment policy. Regarding this item, I am very dissatisfied with the return policy. It appears that it is going to take up to 30 days for my refund and who ever reviews the product received has the discretion to offer a partial refund. ... show more

    • Powerful and Effortless. Robust Wiring, great clamps.
I frequently have to rescue my daughter and give her a jump, and I don't like using my battery with jumper cables. I had already given her my old jumper box, so I needed a replacement. I decided to get this very powerful unit so that I could get many jumps for her Chrysler 200, or any other car or truck, multiple times without a charge. Unlike most other chargers this doesn't just start the car, it immediately and robustly starts the car, effortlessly. And I've jumped about half a dozen times with it, and it still isn't out of power. It also charged very quickly before my first use. I used a laptop charger, because when you use a high amp USB C source, it can charge very quickly indeed. I suppose I SHOULD charge it soon, before it stops being effective, but honestly, I don't think it has broken a sweat. I once hooked it up backwards because I was tired and distracted, and it didn't throw sparks or ruin anything. It sensed it was reverse polarity, and just refused to play. I saw my error, reversed the clamps, and the car started right up. Hopefully I didn't damage it, but it seems fine. I feel like this could probably start a large diesel truck or tractor, and is a nice piece of kit to carry around in case somebody needs help. Awesome product, so compact and easy to use with peace of mind .. knowing it’s going to start your car, truck, tractor .. it’s started all of my equipment several times on a single charge from a completely dead battery.. operates my dump trailers if the battery is weak ..

    • Great little jump starter now that I found a recharging solution.
This is an excellent little jump starter. It really works well, is light weight and small and has plenty of power to quickly jump start any car, no matter how dead. The only thing it didn't like was that if I leave it unplugged, the battery drains and I found it half charged every time I needed it. I only use it for emergencies and I need it ready to use. I know from prior experience that if I leave it plugged in all the time, its battery will degrade in a year or two. I found a great solution, a product on Amazon called Charge-O-Matic. It is a long term timer that I plug the NOCO boost into. I set it to come on once every 60 days for 12 hours. Now the jump starters is always fully charged and ready to go and should last for years with its lithium battery. ... show more

    • Saved me more than once. Charge every 3 to 4 months...CRAP dust covers for otherwise great device
The media could not be loaded. For jumping anything short of an 18 wheeler, it works well. The safety bypass to jump a completely dead battery works to perfection also. If the 2 covers for the USB-A and USB-C covers were even somewhat functional, I'd give it 5 stars. But they are a joke. Neither will close in even the slightest bit. Why such a good device would have useless dust covers is beyond me. The thing costs $300. Would it really be too much to ask for functional $1 covers instead of the completely worthless $0.25 covers? ... show more
