This is listed as a knee support, it’s not intended to be a strong solid brace, and it isn’t. It’s very easy to put on and adjust, it’s soft, comfortable, and flexible. The package lists it as “medium” support and I would say that’s accurate. There are no rigid supports in it, so as long as you understand that and expectations are clear, I’d say it’s great for its intended purpose. My mom also tried it, and she needed more support, but she also didn’t like how “narrow” is was. However, i think it’s because she’s used to and wanted more support. * Overall Impression: -It's a good value for a comfortable, supportive knee brace that feels good on the knee. -However, note that it is shorter in length at 6" than some knee braces. It doesn't have a lot of coverage above and below the knee. It's a shorter brace vs longer. -Note that it is a little different to put on than some knee braces. Once you figure out how to put it on, it's simple. But if you're like me you might initially have to take a moment to figure it out, I'll explain below how to put it on. * Pros-what I liked and what worked well: -Good value for the style, quality, comfort and fit. -Shorter 6" inch length. Doesn't cover a lot of area above and below the knee. -Good quality, well made. -Nice, soft material that's good quality and soft next to the skin. Made of a blend of neoprene, nylon and polyester. -Breathable material. -Lightweight, not heavy to wear. -3 Velcro straps, for a highly adjustable fit and support in 3 areas. -The Velcro straps add support and stability. -Padded circular kneecap area with an opening for the kneecap. -Very nicely stitched and put together. -Universal fit for the right or left knee. -Length: (unfolded) (straps included) 26 3/8" (it can fit most sizes due to the style and Velcro) -Height: (area of the knee covered) 6" tall. -Washable (hand wash, air dry). -No metal areas or stays. -Instructions included on the outer carton. * Cons-what I didn’t like and what didn’t work well: -The instructions are printed on the outer carton vs a separate sheet. If you want to keep them, you'll have to trim them off the carton or store it in the carton. -Mild scent to it, but it fades quickly when aired out. Most people won't have an issue with it, it's so mild. But if you are extremely sensitive to scents it may be an issue. I'm pretty sensitive to scents and I tolerated it well vs some that are overwhelmingly scented, this one is mild and it does go away. * Tips & Thoughts: -Note that it is slightly shorter than some knee braces at a 6 inch length. If you're taller or need more coverage or support above and below the knee, it may be a little short for you. I'm 5'1 and while I have used and sometimes prefer a longer brace, I did find that it covered the knee area well and where it needed to be covered. -This one is a little different and more difficult at first to put on than some. It's easy once you figure it out. The carton has instructions printed on it, and the listing pictures show it as well. -To put it on center the knee pad circle over your knee cap. Then take the center shortest middle Velcro strap and secure the brace first. Then you secure the longer straps above and below the center shorter strap. If you try to put the longer straps on first it's harder to do. You don't have any of the longer straps wrapped under the brace or your leg, they both go on top of the brace. -Note that it does not have a fully open back behind the knee. The way the straps fit, it is open between the straps but not fully open, nor does it have an opening for the back of the knee. -You can walk in it and bend the knee as needed. It won't totally immobilize the bending of the knee. -Note, it's just 1 included, if you need it for both knees you'll have to order 2. -You may want to consider adding your own knee sleeve (not included) to wear under it for more compression and support. Unlike the other reviewers, I really like the smaller profile of this brace. So many of the braces on the market try to encase the leg/knee and thereby limit movement and mobility. This brace does just the opposite. I found the adjustable nature of the brace to provide exactly the "custom" fit where I was in control of how tight or loose I preferred it to be. I've worn it all afternoon, and it has stayed in place with absolutely no adjustment required. I like that it doesn't have thick gel around the kneecap (a rather thin gel layer encircles the kneecap). So often, I find that to be counterintuitive when trying to maintain a stable fit for a brace. Thick gel tends to "push" the kneecap out of alignment. I admit that I didn't have high expectations when I first saw this brace and I thought it was going to be like so many other "fails." I was wrong. This brace delivers the experience I want for knee stability--just enough support without limiting flex and mobility. I've worn a knee brace for over a decade now. Tried so many and I've been disappoint so often. This brace was a pleasant surprise. Of course, everyone's experience will depend on why they need a brace in the first place, but, for me, this is 5 stars. ... show more

OPPO RK101 Adjustable Knee Brace - Breathable Neoprene - (Black, One Size) Pack of 1 I have bad knees and have a variety of knee aids. Walker, canes, hinged knee braces, boned knee braces, knee braces with and without gel, knee sleeves, and tape. There are things I like about this brace and things I do not like. I can wear it on my skin or over my pant leg and it is super fast and easy to get it on and off. It provides more support than a knee sleeve but less than a my other knee braces. I had to handle it and readjust it just as much as my other braces and sleeves. It is less comfortable than my knee sleeves but more comfortable than my other knee braces. The neoprene gets a little bunched up in the back of my knee when I am sitting down. Overall a decent addition to my knee aids but probably will not become a go-to aid. ... show more

The product comes nicely (but not excessively) packaged and was delivered very quickly. While instructions are included with the product, application is intuitive for anyone who has ever worn any sort of athletic brace. The hook and loop fastener tabs allow for a broad range of adjustment for both knee size and tightness. In use, the product provides excellent support while inhibiting side-ward and twisting motions that can lead to injury. Particularly for the casual athlete who does not need an overly constraining brace, the small size of the product is perfect. In summary, a great enhancement for my morning walk and jog.
