  • Truly great, with a few exceptions, (but still sit in it, to realize it's glory).
Size: PU FAUX LEATHER Color: Black
I've had the Noble Epic Gaming chair for many months now, so I thought I'd give it a review. My body is exceptionally grateful to me for buying this chair. I'm in my late 40's and it thanks me daily for providing a really comfortable sitting surface. Let's get on to the pros and cons... Pros 1) . The foam in the cushions. I've read many reviews that state that it's a hard chair. In a way, yes it is. The foam is very firm, but eventually you do sink into it a bit. When i initially sat in it, it did feel very firm (slightly softer than a wooden chair), but then the magic happened...I never moved. I can sit in this chair for hours, without moving. No leaning side to side, no shifting my butt, no discomfort at all. True racing seats are not that comfortable when you climb in, but you can drive for hours without shifting your weight. This chair is like that. Also, eight months on, and it still sits as good as the day I took it out of the box. 2) Stability. The hydraulic support is very solid. I've watched countless hours of Twitch and youtube streamers that fidget in their chairs, and their chairs are rocking around wildly. They are usually just tapping a foot (out of nervous habit) or are pretty animated when they perform. This chair is rock solid. I can get it to rock a bit, but only intentionally. 3) Head and Lumbar pillows. The lumbar pillow will show up in the con list, but thats another story. When I attatched the head and lumbar pillows, I thought they would last a few months (I actually looked for replacements two days after I set the chair up), but they are still going strong. Like new, I think. The foam comes back to shape and the fabric is very comfortable. 4) . Assembly. It came very tightly packaged and yet it was a breeze to put together. Screw the base on, screw the arms on, attach the back (Do it the way they suggest. I could see the springs could be deadly, so I followed the easy instructions), and two covers for the sides. You're done. Brand new chair! OK, let's get to the cons. They are minor, but frustrating (for a relatively expensive chair). Cons. (These are very minor nitpicks to me, but might be dealbreakers to some.) 1) . Backrest mechanism. You really have to sit up and apply NO pressure to the backrest before you pull the handle. This is a fairly common tooth mechanism, but I consider it a cheap out. Again...German engineering? 2) . Lumbar support pillow. I know this was a Pro, but it is also a con, due to the chair design. The Backrest and the seat cushion are so smashed together that there is no room for the lumbar support pillow straps to move freely. If you want to move the pillow (which I do regularly, depending on the backrest angle) it's quite a tug to get the straps to move through the pinch point. Admittedly, I am able to move it enough now, but I'm afraid that I'll tear a strap from the pillow someday. 3) . Fulcrum. A few people have complained that you'll need a footstool if you lean back in the chair. Yes, this is true. I don't know what to say, other than, I've learned to deal with it happily. Final thoughts: I feel great in this chair. The only way I'll switch is if they fix a few design errors, or it falls apart someday. I seriously don't think the latter will happen. I have a physically strenuous day job that is full of random twists and turns to my joints and spine. I come home to game, or blender, or play my keyboards, and I honestly feel better the next day (than I did before I had a good chair). BTW, I'm 5'11", 185lbs. With the lumbar in place, it's perfect for me. Without it, the seat would be too long. I think someone 5'8", or less, might find the seat length uncomfortable, but I can't be sure. Everyone is different. ... show more

  • It’s great, but the tilt spring broke in 18 months
Size: PU FAUX LEATHER Color: Black
Everything about this chair is great, except for the fact the spring in the tilt mechanism broke after 18 months (and I’m only 180 pounds). I bought a replacement mechanism, then I found out it’s impossible to remove the gas lift cylinder without a special tool (that I didn’t have). I ended up damaging the gas lift trying to remove it from the broken mechanism. So…I sold the replacement mechanism on ebay, and ended up having to buy a whole new chair. Very disappointing! ... show more

  • i love it, but im taking away a star.
Size: PU FAUX LEATHER Color: Black/Blue
this chair has held up for about 2 years. the leather is strong and durable. if you take care of it it will last a long time. i didnt and im barely seeing a crack. for two years that is pretty good. i weight about 240-250 pounds. and i use this baby like there is no tomorrow. it is strong.. the only thing is.. the springs give out.. (nothing too important.) im talking about minor springs. for example. the first year the spring for the lever that allows you to lay back. (all it does it pull the lever down and auto locks it.) snapped. i fixed it by bending it because it's job was simple. and just yesterday the spring for the lever that lets you tilt the whole seat snapped. again i did somewhat the same thing by bending it. it was a little hard ngl. but it is a godly chair. i just recommend they figure out how to fix the spring snapping problem.. maybe make it out of a better material? oh btw trust me.. do not toss this chair on the do not buy list. it is a great chair. the back doesnt even bend. (other chairs when you lay back they start slowly bending in the direction you add most of your weight to. ) again. two years and the chair only had two minor issues. ... show more

  • Fine but needs a lot more cushioning
Size: PU FAUX LEATHER Color: Copper Limited Edition
This is a nice chair but it gets very uncomfortable after sitting on it for more than 30 minutes. It needs a lot more cushioning. I would've returned it if I hadn't thrown away the box.

  • Seat is very hard
Size: PU FAUX LEATHER Color: Black/Red
This is a well-constructed chair. I've used many brands, including those in the ~$800 range. This chair is worth it from a materials and construction standpoint. After a few months of use, I can say I still notice some things important enough to point out. 1. The chair sits (too) high. Even with buying the short piston and having it all the way lowered, I'm still going to have to raise my desk because my legs don't have enough clearance under the desk. This is not a cheap desk either. It's 'standard' office height, and the desk surface is right around 28 inches from the floor. It's even worse if you have one of the slide-out accessory storage drawers. 2. This chair is not conducive to alternate positions. I shift around in my seat a lot. If you're like me and want to sit in it cross-legged, or raise one leg up and rest it on the seat - you will probably be uncomfortable. Not only is it the bucket seat, but the forward position of the armrest supports, as well as the height that make this chair uncomfortable for those who shift around. 3. Lastly, but most importantly for me - the seat is like a rock! Yes, I read it from others and thought I would break it in. I haven't. I don't care if it's supposed to be good for you. I'm too uncomfortable to actually sit any reasonable time in it. My bottom is numb in a few minutes, and it forces me to get up very frequently. After a few hours of off-and-on use, I'm actually 'done for the day'. I've never had a chair feel this hard. It honestly feels like one of those folding metal chairs with the thin cushion on it. I have to rotate adding additional cushioning on it, but because it's a bucket seat (and because it sits high in the first place), it's awkward. I gave the product 4 stars because they made all of this information known beforehand, and I still ordered it anyway thinking I'd be ok with it. Also, it really is well made. I'm going to continue using it, but it hasn't been an easy transition from my previous chair. ... show more
