For a first paddle it's good. If you don't know if you will enjoy pickleball this is a good cheap investment. Once you are certain you will play consistently you will need to upgrade. If you will be only playing a few times a year this is fine. Great paddles are expensive but worth it. I was happy to use this when I first started since I didn't want to invest a lot of money initially
