Omg what an expensive device! But it is worth every penny and has already stopped the daily coffee shop run. From espresso drinks to simple drip coffee this is perfect! It does require a weekly clean, but it's not too hard to complete (5 to 10 mins). Take care of it and it will take care of you!

    • Tricky Setup but worth the wait
Took a few tries to get set up with the autogrinding features. Once it is set up, it is amazing! Super easy to use and makes great coffee. I only wish they sold a second froth cup

    • Ninja AutoBarista not ready for Prime time
Initially functioned great but on the third day of use began displaying an error code, Er 50, shutting down the machine. Online search indicated possible sensor problem with recommendation to reset by unplugging from wall socket and waiting five to ten minutes. This action cleared the error code and then the Install Milk Jug indicator came on even with the milk jug in place. Another internet search revealed this is a known problem with Ninja espresso makers with recommendations of turning the handle of the jug to the right and trying to position the milk jug so that the heavier portion of the jug is towards the rear where it can somehow be better detected. The point being that I didn’t have to give any consideration to those kind of engineering gymnastics for the first two days of use, but then suddenly the placement of the milk jug became crucial and essential on the third day. Thankfully I was able to clear that hurdle and the indicator light shut off. And then the Er 50 error code came back on despite following troubleshooting guidelines in the included documents and online. I actually spent two frustrating hours going through cycle after cycle of Er 50/Install Milk Jug while wasting an entire bag of coffee beans in the hope that the problem would permanently resolve and finally gave up after Er 50 showed up once again. The Ninja AutoBarista is the newest thing as far as I know in their lineup of espresso makers. I’m not sure why they haven’t corrected known issues in this product line but I had no interest in trying again with a replacement and returned this machine for a refund, disappointed because of the high satisfaction I have had with other Ninja products. ... show more

    • Grind IQ is not good
This machine has some great features but the automatic grind IQ is not ready for prime time. It would be better if you could manually adjust the grind setting. The grind IQ wastes a lot of beans, which can get expensive and frustrating if you use expensive beans. I do not recommend this machine. UPDATE/CORRECTION: It turns out manual adjustment of the grind is possible in the settings. Hard to see in the tiny display. I have added one star but I’ll still be looking for a different machine down the road. ... show more

    • Read closely what you’re ordering.
Just like most I saw a YouTube video and got hooked, but let me explain. Every video I watched they never explained that there are two models, there is a the one I bought on Amazon and there is a pro model that is what I watched on the internet, both models look and function exactly the same but the difference is the hopper for the beans. After I opened the box, cleaned everything and began to set it up I was bewildered looking for the second hopper??? This model does not have a second hopper, not only that it doesn’t support having a removable hopper, that was one of the reasons I purchased it as my wife likes a different brand of coffee and I thought this was going to be the perfect fit for us. Now, discounting what I wrote above it is a fantastic unit, makes great espresso AND drip coffee. Looking back on Amazon they don’t even offer the pro model, if you search ninja auto barista pro it brings you to the model that is NOT a Pro. ... show more

This was a good purchase. I don't exactly like the cleaning when starting up and turning off, but overall the coffee taste and process is amazing. I am having more latte's now because of this coffee maker. I do recommend it for the price. It also looks really good on my counter. It's very visually appealing.
