I found this dress on another department store website and checked Amazon and found it. Score! Purchased this dress for a fall wedding here in South Florida and let me tell you I am in love! I ordered the large. It is a little big in the sides and waist but I think the medium would have been to tight for comfort. Plus I wanted to be able to move in it. If I get to my goal weight this dress is worth getting it taken in. Beautiful color - I wouldn’t call this “pine” it’s a bit more of a darker emerald. Not to low cut just shows a little of the girls. TLDR : if you need to have any sort of range of motion in this dress, go for the size up I am 5’6”, 140lbs, 34D with a 28” waist & I ordered size M for reference This dress is made from very high quality materials and the seams are quite professionally done, which is why it’s confusing that it has 2 major design flaws. I included close up pictures of the fabric & seams - even the *inside* of the dress is perfection The first flaw however, is that the fabric is so thick where the bodice meets the skirt, that the zipper gets impossibly stuck (even with the dress off). It would not go up even with two people pulling on it… I finally was able to make it work by putting the dress on backwards, zipping it just above the waist to get past the part where it sticks, and then turning it around. The second, and sadly the reason that I returned the dress, is that the bodice is cut so tight / fabric doesn’t have enough give in the shoulders, that you can’t comfortably hug people in the dress. The waist had plenty of room and the bodice was completely fine also until I went to move my arms upward at all. It is so beautiful on, but if it’s for an event that you’ll need any sort of movement I’d recommend ordering far enough ahead that you at least have time to test it out or considering other options. 10/10 on aesthetics, 5/10 on comfort ... show more

Pretty dress. I'm 5'6" about 150 lbs and ordered a large. Large was a little loose on top. Only downside to this dress is don't expect to lift your arms.

I would recommend sizing up for this dress. It is beautiful though, well worth the money, in my opinion. I used it for my daughter’s christening and I received many compliments. The length was perfect (I’m 5’4”) and on the heavier side. It shaped me nicely with a tight fit on the top and looser on the bottom. I've ordered and returned 6 potential outfits to wear for my bridal shower. I finally purchased this dress even though it was expensive because I was hopeful that the brand name and heftier price tag might be an indication that this was going to be a better fit and better quality. I was right! I put this dress on and loved the way the structured top fit my chest and hit right at the flattering point of my waist. I loved the flowy skirt that wasn't see-through or flimsy and how the pretty lace trim at the bottom didn't have any hanging threads. Basically, this is a good quality and well-fitting dress and I'm looking forward to wearing it to my bridal shower. This looks really nice on, good quality, true to size-- but restricted my arm movement because of how the sleeves are cut with the non stretch fabric. It'd be good for posing in photos or walking down the aisle as a bridesmaid, but not to dance in.
