  • Great compact air fryer for small households - 2 years and counting!
Using this since July 2023 and very satisfied. Perfect 2-quart capacity for 1-2 people - handles daily use for reheating, veggies, and small batches. Quality is solid after nearly 2 years of regular use. No smell issues whatsoever, and the nonstick coating still performs great with zero stickiness - food releases easily every time. Ease of cleaning is fantastic - basket wipes clean effortlessly. Love that I can make crispy food with little to no oil for healthier cooking compared to traditional frying. Heats up fast, cooks evenly, and saves counter space. Only downside is the small size limits what you can cook, but that's expected for a mini model. Great value and perfect for small households or anyone wanting to try air frying without a huge appliance. ... show more

  • GREAT snack size air fryer, Easy to use and clean
Bought this for snacking in my household. Came up on a flash sale, Love those flash sales for half price !!!! Its a NINJA too. No pre heating necessary. It does NOT have a temp controll, it cooks at 400 degrees according to the booklet in the package. We tried breaded chicken strips, Its better with smaller pieces, so just break in half if they are very large, got 3 good size ones in there, Popped in a parchment sheet for easy clean up before you put your food into the basket/drawer, with this sort of item to cook, you need to flip the pieces over so they can crisp up on both sides, so 10 minutes for our chicken pieces, flipped over and 10 more minutes. Tasted like our local fast food place chicken fingers but hotter and crisper with-out the wait. Next going to try frozen taquitos which are a favorite here but microwaving them is not always good and who wants to heat up the oven for a few taquitos? It was easy clean, tossed the parchment and wiped out the basket and crisper tray. Will try with out the parchment to see if cooking time is less. Going to have lots of fun with this snack or small portion air fryer, good way to get your feet if your not too sure if you want to go into air frying or not. ... show more

  • Easy to clean and works well, but price is high for product
My first air fryer. It has a turn-dial for the cook time, and is always set to 400 degrees. The food comes out evenly done. It's sized to make a side dish for 2 people (veggies or potatoes). It is SO easy to clean too (my favorite part). The reason it's 4-stars instead of 5 is two-fold: 1. The turn knob for the timing is not very accurate. It's also hard to turn off if you feel like you've started to overcook something. There's also no pause-to-shake option. 2. For the same price point, I've seen larger air fryers that have digital timing and temp control. If you have more than 2 in your family, you will need something larger. But if not, this is a good option and I do recommend. ... show more

  • Easy and Economical to Use
It took me a minute to become a believer, but I realized with some practice that in the time it takes me to preheat my oven, my food in this air fryer will be almost done. It cooks fries and hash browns wonderfully, and I threw away the pan of oil on my stove that I used for deep frying. I don't need it, because I can make everything I used to deep fry in my air fryer, in less time, with A LOT less mess, and no added oil. It's a lot more economical to cook, for instance, chicken nuggets, in the air fryer than to heat up the oven, and who wants microwaved chicken nuggets? Cleanup is ridiculously easy. The retro timer switch isn't the most precise, but it hardly matters. This unit is very forgiving. There are just two of us in my household and this is the perfect size for us. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. ... show more

  • Easy to use. Compact.
I like the compactness of this air fryer because I am single and I cook for myself. But it is very small... It cannot even fit a small pizza you bought from supermarket in there... It is very easy to clean. It's very effective. But you cannot set the temperature. I believe it stays at 400⁰... So if you to cook it precisely at certain temp, you won't be able to. ... show more

  • Perfect Compact Air Fryer!
Ninja has never let me down. I think I own 7 of their products. I have 2 other Ninja air fryers! I googled "compact/mini air fryer" and of course AMAZON came up with this NINJA (they know my weakness). Although I've had it for nearly a week, I decided to take it for a test drive today. My first test was leftover fried catfish. It blew my 10-year old original Ninja out of the water! I normally do 8 minutes at 390 and I stop half way to flip. This thing did a better job in 4 minutes with no flipping. Granted, it only accommodates 2 or 3 pieces of catfish, but you reload it with 3 more pieces while you EAT! I just tried it out on chicken wings that were originally deep fried and then dipped in sauce. The sauce was low sugar. It was like a Frank's Hot Sause infused with garlic, but it was still sticky when fresh. Fast forward 16 hours and I dropped 3 of these soggy (breaded) party wings into this mini-Ninja for 4 minutes and they were BETTER than original! I'm very pleased with this devise and I plan to Christmas gift this to all my friends and family. ... show more

  • Simply The Best!
I wish more products were designed like the Ninja Mini Air Fryer: total simplicity of function. Who needs an air fryer with 15 buttons? In addition to adding to the cost, they are useless other than on / off. Which happens to be the only controls on the Ninja mini. Turn the dial to the desired time for on, turn it back until the bell rings for off. The unit runs at 400 degrees all the time. It has a basket that is perfect for a one person household. The food comes out beautifully browned and juicy. Fried chicken and potatoes are perfect. I peel 2 potatoes, put them in a plastic bag with 1 tbsp oil, shake the bag and put them in a preheated basket. Shake them a few times during cooking, perfect in 15 minutes. 2 chicken thighs takes 25 minutes. I highly recommend this product if you want a small air fryer. I'm totally satisfied. ... show more

  • Easy to use but timer knob gets stuck and basket became rusty over time.
This little air fryer was perfect for me. It is small so it doesn’t take up a lot of space, and it cooks things quickly. I made Trader Joe’s samosas, impossible chicken nuggets and fries- all came out perfectly crisp on the outside without getting too dry on the inside. It also baked salmon fillets quickly and perfectly. My mom and aunt loved how simple it is to use since the temperature is set and you only choose how much time you want. I think that brands need to consider how older people get confused by too many selections. The first time that the timer got stuck and did not turn off was about after 4 months of use. Everything was burned but luckily I was around and there was no fire. I’ve now had it 1 year and 7 months and that has happened about 4 times, so I wouldn’t turn it on and assume that it will turn off on its own. The getting stuck part did not happen frequently enough for me to get frustrated, after all I used it about every other day, but a possible fire in the kitchen is a pretty serious problem. Since I don’t like putting things into landfill, I used this until a couple weeks ago when I noticed that the inside of the basket was getting rusty. This is a sign that the non-stick coating has broken down and is likely making my food toxic. This happened even though I handwashed it 80% of the time and used the upper rack of the dishwasher to treat it with more TLC when I did use the dishwasher. The manual said that the basket is dishwasher safe, so I don’t know why the basket started to rust. At this point, I will throw it out and am replacing it with a glass basket air fryer. I gave this 3 stars as I would not buy it again given the above issues that I had with this air fryer. I would have given it 4 stars if it were not perfect, but I would buy again. Writing this review over 1 year later, I am shocked to see that it is now $95. It was definitely <$50 when I bought it. ... show more
