This is a very sweet and feminine little clock from NIKKY HOME. It arrives fully assembled in protective styrofoam, although you do have to remove the back to insert the battery (not included) and set the time. This surprisingly sturdy timepiece has an all metal case and base with a slightly domed acrylic "glass" over the clock face. The clock movement is completely silent, with a smooth sweeping second hand. So far it is keeping time with perfect accuracy. I really love the vintage Parisian "street clock" style design of this piece - and especially the charming bow. The lightly distressed gold finish gives it a lovely warm glow. While true to the manufacturer's dimensions, this is a very small clock. It is perfectly suited to a small night table or bathroom counter to hurry you along on those dreaded Monday mornings. I like this decorative and dainty clock very much. That said, I do believe it is slightly overpriced when its quality is taken into consideration. ($35.98 at the time of my review.) This clock is not perfect. The face of mine is slightly askew, the hole where the hand mechanism punches through the paper facing is rather ragged, and I deeply wish that it had a real glass "crystal" rather than plastic. This is a solid metal and glass table clock that is so cute. It stands around a foot tall and is on the heavier side. The back opens up to the battery compartment and the wheel to adjust the time. What I like about this is the design is simple but it stands out. I also like that is solid metal and heavier, it doesn't have a cheap look or feel to it and it has stability; the glass face just adds to its character. The battery compartment is easy to get to by undoing the two screws, which also gives you access to the wheel that allows you to adjust the time.
