  • Very good bike - PROS and CONS list to help you decide
Color: Brown+Orange
After a lot of research I decided to purchase the Niceday Recumbent Exercise Bike. First impressions: PROS: - the fit and finish were very good. Easy to put together - everything fit and instructions were the best I have seen in a while - assembly took about 45 minutes - instructions kept me from making any mistakes - bike packing was exceptional. Note to remove cardboard FIRST then you can remove certain parts easily from styrofoam. - the bike is really really very quiet and smooth - the bike is very stable. We have it in a room with carpet and the bike is stable - it moves very little and riders feel secure - the seat is easy to adjust to accommodate multiple riders - My wife is 5’2” and I am 6’0” and we are both very comfortable riding - foot pedals/ foot placement and foot straps are comfortable- easy in / easy out. Works well for me and my wife without making individual adjustments - The resistance is easy to change with a click while pedaling - easy to follow along with fitness videos when they ask you to change resistance - the resistance is good enough for beginners or for moderate exercise - CONS: - the LCD display is dark - hard to read unless room is well lit. Kinda don’t use the display much because of this. - Can’t see where you can see RPM rate. Some fitness vids state to follow along at a certain Revs per minute - have to do calculations from MPH - The seat and back rest is Ok. Not truly a con but nothing exceptional here. - the resistance tops out at a easier moderate. No Olympic training here. You need to plan to go longer and not harder with this equipment. If you want a high intensity bike for advanced - look elsewhere. - minor but not easy to see markings when adjusting seat for diff riders. Needed to stick some labels to make seat adjustments easier I would buy this bike again - and would consider other products from this company (Niceday) in the future. ... show more

  • Love this bike. I actually look forward to riding it.
Color: Brown+Orange
I have no complaints about this bike. I had a hip replacement and my surgeon sent over a recumbent bike for pt.i have a regular stationary bike which hurt my lower back so I tried to avoid it. After using the one sent by the surgeon I decided to buy one. It rides smooth, noiseless, comfortable seat, one person wasn’t happy with not being able to see the mileage, time, etc too good. I bought a 2.00 light to clip on and it works fine. I can read a book if I care to. This is the first workout apparatus I actually enjoy using. My elliptical and old stationary bike are now sadly in the corner. I’ve been working out for years. I also run. This bike is honestly the best. The price is good too. ... show more

  • Good value bike. Electronics are junk.
Color: Brown+Orange
I've owned this bike for a year. It's a solid bike. Took about 1hr to assemble, by one person. The bike is quiet. It's easy to move around with the front wheels. Easy use manual knob for changing the resistance on the fly' My only complain is the display. Very cheesy looking, hard to read, and I could never get the display to stay on the 'Time Elapsed' setting. The bluetooth connectivity was shameful. It would work one day, and not the next, even with new batteries. I also used the approved KinoMaps with the bike. Forget it... unless you want to pay a subscription to Kino for the same maps month after month. The bike itself is a good value. If you want a fancy display and electronics... this is NOT the bike you want. If you want to watch tv or listen to music while working out, it's a good choice. ... show more

  • Excellent product
Color: Brown+Orange
I assembled this unit yesterday and got my first 30 minute workout on it this morning. Here are my impressions: Assembly directions are detailed and very accurate. The only issues I had was with bracket for holding the seat unit (item #20) in place. I spent a good bit of time searching through all of the parts thinking either I had misplaced it or it was not included, only to find it bolted in place to the unit. Also had the same issues with the screws to hold the digital screen, already in the back of that piece. As one reviewer has pointed out, getting the two bolts that hold the seat unit in place is a bit of a PITA. I strongly recommend lying down next to the unit to get a full view of the work area. Don't try to do it blindly by feel. Also as noted elsewhere, the bracket attached with two bolts to the front of the unit is meant to serve as a handle to get the unit in place. It is then removed and not used in the actual assembly. They also provide a good bit of extra fastener hardware so you will have a bit of a pile of stuff left over when completed. My first workout was very positive. I do a lot of road biking and have spent a lot of time in the off season on trainers and stationary bikes. Full disclosure, this unit is for my wife, but I expect to make regular use of it as well. This is my first experience with a recumbent. I found it to be very solid, smooth, and quiet. The tension range seems more than adequate for a good workout. I'm 5'11"/ 150 lbs. Being in a recumbent position will definitely take some getting used to but I expect it may offer less wear and tear on my aging hips. Areas for improvement: the floppy handles by the seat are a little weird. I guess it may be useful to get them out of the way... I wish the digital readout included cadence. I did connect with Kimomap without any issues. That seems to work pretty well but with a small delay in getting data from the bike to the kinomap display. So when you pick up the cadence, you won't see it reflected on the kinomap disply for 10 seconds or so. Kinomap does show cadence and watts. You get 2 weeks free then it is $12 per month. The manual shows that it can also connect with Zwift. The tray for holding an iPad, etc. would benefit from a wider rim at the bottom. Also be aware that this unit is heavy. It is maneuverable but takes some effort to get the back end up to move it around. Not a complaint, just a fact. All in all, highly recommended. P.S. After using this a few times, I can agree with another reviewer that mentioned how stiff the seat is. I definitely recommend an additional seat cushion. Keep in mind that the on a recumbent, your butt is parked on the seat and carrying most of your weight 100% of the time. There is no getting out of the saddle to give your butt a break as there is on a conventional bike. ... show more

  • Good value for the money
Color: Brown+Orange
Bought this bike as part of my rehab program for upcoming knee replacement surgeries. I have only had a chance to do some casual riding to size the seat location. Bike is very well made, very solid. Came very promptly and extremely well packaged and protected. Bike is built like a tank, very robust and sturdy. Bike may not have all the bells and whistles of a more expensive bike but it does provide basic ride data, i.e., distance, speed, kcal expended, heart rate. Excellent value for the money spent. Bike went together pretty easily. It even came with a rudimentary set of wrenches to use for the assembly. All parts, bolts, nuts, washers etc. contained in kit. Instructions easy to follow. Bike is pretty heavy so you m ay need help to get it up steps. Used a dolly to get it up the front steps and into the house. Once I got it into my house I opened the package and took all the parts out and moved them piecemeal to facilitate movement to second floor of my house where I will use the bike. ... show more

  • Excellent bike
Color: Brown+Orange
1. Delivery: Delivered by Amazon and carried up 32 steps by the delivery person! I was very impressed and thankful, as my back is not as tolerant as it once was. Packaging was well done and there were no scrapes/dings/damage to bike. It took around 30 minutes to unpack. 2. Assembly: Instructions were detailed and easy to follow. My mechanical skills are somewhat south of neanderthal, but I had it together by myself in about 90 minutes, including bathroom breaks. Two people might have made it easier, but certainly pretty basic assembly, as the major parts - flywheel and frame, came as one piece. All needed tools were included, as were some extra screws and bolts. Parts were all machined to a high degree and holes were all aligned perfectly. This is not a cheap product - it feels and looks very well made. 3. Function: Very quiet and smooth. Quite sturdy - not perhaps as much as the $2000 brand name models, but certainly fine for most home users. We have used it on a tiled floor and on a pile carpet. It is more sturdy on the hard floor. As others have noted, the handles are designed to be loose, to allow for ease of access. One criticism I have is the lack of a backlit screen on the display. My wife has vision problems and cannot make out the screen at all. My vision is fine and I can barely see the numbers. We have to use a flashlight to see the screen. Given the advances in technology today, I do not think it is too much to ask for a better lit screen. I bet some 17 year old genius could design an inexpensive battery that would power a backlight and could be recharged from the action of the flywheel - never have to replace the batteries! In fact, you could adapt a charging mechanism similar to the hand-crank chargers available on the internet. That way, you could charge your iPhone/iPad while you work out! 4. Health objective: This product will not turn you into a triathlete, but it will fulfill the objective of a non-impact exercise that will give a cardiovascular benefit and burn some calories. Both my wife and I are in our 70’s and have back issues. The recumbent position takes a significant amount of strain off your lower back, that even walking can cause. My back bothered me too much to walk today, but I did just fine on this recumbent bike. Plus, its raining outside and having this bike inside my home is wonderful. ... show more

  • Some good some bad
Color: Brown+Orange
Love the bike, but it has a couple disappointing features. The good: it’s quiet, easy to ride, and easy to get on and off of. The bad: the seat bottom is quite uncomfortable, the display is absolute junk. Mine quit working on the 2nd day I had it. I need to use a timer or stopwatch on my phone to figure out how long I have been riding, and I have no idea of my distance, heart rate or anything else the display is supposed to show. It is frustrating because I like to do virtual challenges to motivate me but I need a distance for those. I have not tried the apps that are supposed to work with it so I can’t comment on those. ... show more
