When the pandemic turned me into a remote worker, I purchased a large, thick Serta office chair. It was super comfortable, but then the material started rotting. First, the arms, then the seat, now the back. My clothes are covered with small, black specks of faux leather. My wife said, "Get another chair." My first criteria: super comfortable but no fake leather (also, after sweaty butt summer, I want breathable material) My second criteria: fit my tall frame, especially lumbar support in the right place. Third criteria: optional, but coworker envy would be nice I sat in chairs at several office supply stores. I knew that I wanted the mesh material and the chair had to have good depth (front to back) to support my long legs. The chair also had to sit up high enough to allow my feet to sit flat on the floor, but the armrests had to be high enough to allow my right elbow to sit on the armrest while using the mouse. (That means my arm needs to be flat, not angled upward to the corner of the desk. Lots of chairs have fixed arms that don't go high enough.) Then I started the Google search to find reviews of chairs and ran into Newtral. It looked like some really good marketing, but customers were also confirming the adjustments and comfort. The measurements were perfect for me as well. I also found a great deal on Amazon. First Impressions: Wow! The lumbar support stays with me even when I lean forward to type something important. (Not sure why I do that, but I also lean forward when driving in messy traffic.) I did not expect the chair to stay with me as I moved. That was a great surprise. The seat part moves forward to support my thighs. I had read about that, and it was true. I let my wife try it out and she was able to move the seat cushion back for her much-shorter legs. (I am over 6' tall and she is closer to 5' tall.) The mesh material is very comfortable even though it did not have stuffed cushions like my Serta. It is much, much cooler. I was also surprised by the many ways I could adjust both armrests. I was able to get them as tall as I hoped, but then I found that I could angle them in, which makes using the mouse even more comfortable. Another adjustment can make the armrest closer or further away. I did not need to adjust that, but I played with it and I think it allows for skinnier and wider bodies... The final surprise was the headrest. I did not have that on my Serta. I was also afraid to lean back in my Serta because I am pretty sure it was going to tip over backwards. I am able to comfortably recline really far back in this office chair, and the headrest makes it super comfortable. Finally, the folks from my office liked the automatic lumbar support, so I kind of got some envy from them. However, my wife is feeling super envious. (Let's see if I even get to keep this chair - or will she steal it from me?) One thing I would have done differently: I like more padding on the armrest. Luckily, I had an armrest pad/cover that I had to use with my old chair and it fits perfectly. I am very glad that I found Newtral and picked a chair that really works for me. If I were to buy another one, I think I would go for the upgrade with the footrest. If my wife takes this one, I will buy the footrest version and let you know how that goes! ... show more

    • Easy assembly, great design, fantastic comfort

First let me start by saying this product assembled like a breeze. All the pieces were easy to find and expertly packed so they did not get damaged in shipping. That box was about 50 pounds (23kg) so it might be a team effort to get it into the house. The chair comes with very helpful pictures in the manual and the assembly bolts are labeled clearly. Overall time from opening the box to sitting in the chair took about 15 minutes. It comes with a nice hex wrench so you do not need any tools to assemble it. It did come with extra bolts in case anything was broken or missing which is a nice touch, but I did not need them. The comfort is fantastic. It took me a bit of time to settle into some settings that I liked. The novel part about this is that the whole back moves, which seemed a bit odd at first but then once I tried it out I realized that I’ve been missing out. I’m 6’4” tall (193 cm) and 225 pounds (102kg) so I didn’t realize that most office chairs aren’t built for someone like me. The moveable back makes this chair fit me much better. 5 stars for that novel design alone. The wheels are very sturdy and roll silently. The wheel base is all metal and also very sturdy, doesn’t flex under my weight that I can tell and makes for a silent sitting experience. Which is nice because I’ve sat in chairs that squeak under my load. I sit for a living so I’ve gone through a lot of office chairs, I would put value for money of this chair at the top of my list. The only thing that could detract from this chair is if it breaks in under a year, but with how much metal is on this thing I don’t see myself wearing it out any time soon. ... show more

I was unsure how the chair was going to be, but I am incredibly pleased. The chair is durable and made with a high degree of quality. Pros: Very comfortable. I was able to adjust the seat height and depth without issue. Upon assembly, I was able to pick my back rest height, which for a taller person is a must. The head rest is supportive enough and fit my posture to the point I believe I could kick back and sleep. Lumbar support is also adjustable which is helping me sit properly. The chair keeps me comfortably in a proper position. I spend long hours at the computer for work and this has been a god send. My significant other is able to easily adjust the chair to her height/ desired setting. The wheels flow easily on the wood Assembly was easy. Looks high tech/cool compared to most office chairs. Cons: I would rather the chair come with the rollerblade/rubber wheels, but that's a $12 purchase I dont mind making. ... show more
