This was a tough purchase for me at first because I already own a Sky Rover X1, which is basically a Mini 4 Pro clone, and I’m very happy with it. But the Mini 5 Pro is on a different level. DJI builds a more polished product. The camera is better, the sensors are better, the obstacle avoidance is better, and the whole system just feels more refined. I’ve only flown it a few times, thanks to the Pacific Northwest weather, but every flight has been smooth and impressive. It does everything my X1 can do, but with better image quality and more capability overall. The Fly More Combo is absolutely worth it. The three batteries last a long time. While DJI advertises 54 minutes, I was comfortably getting around 45 to maybe 50 minutes. One thing to keep in mind: this drone sits right at the 250-gram limit. If you add anything to it, you’ll go over. Because of that, I picked up a Remote ID module so I stay compliant. It’s not a downside to the drone itself, just something worth noting for anyone who plans to add accessories. The RC-2 controller is another highlight. You don’t have to hook up your phone or a tablet, and the built-in display is excellent. It makes setup faster and cleaner. The controller is a little heavy, though, so I recommend getting a lanyard. On longer flights, you can really feel it in your arms. Overall, this combo is outstanding, and I’m glad I got it when I did. Pros: Excellent build quality and very polished Noticeably better camera quality Great obstacle avoidance and lighting Smooth, stable flying even in mixed conditions Fly More Combo gives you three long-lasting batteries. RC-2 controller has a bright, built-in screen so no phone is needed The lanyard option helps with controller weight. This drone is fantastic. I love everything about it. I had some other drones in the past (contixo) which I found difficult to enjoy as I had to tinker with it constantly.(And no GPS) The easy of operation for my Pro 5 is awesome. I can concentrate on superb video and pictures. The camera is stunning with it's larger CMOS compared to the last model Pro 4. There are too many features to mention here! This drone is super fun, but it's NOT a TOY but a kid with video controller skills would do fine. Mini 5 Pro finally available in the US! Ordered a Mini 5 Pro Fly More kit about a month after official release the day they popped up for Prime shipping at MSRP through Amazon and I am happy to report I received exactly what I expected. Item was brand new, shrink wrapped, and activated perfectly. It is doubtful that you will get a warranty, so I would recommend adding the accidental damage warranty to be safe. Drone flys great and has a ton of nice features that most know about. Some hidden features I didn't see that much talked about, the drone can stay in sleep mode for 12 hours after a flight using minimal battery for you to connect your phone and download images and videos without having to even remove it from your bag. Transfer speeds are also much faster than my Mini 3. The dynamic range for videos is fantastic for a mini drone, but keep ISO set to Auto to get the benefit of whatever computation it is doing to merge exposures. The RC2 controller is such a better controller than the one where you use your screen, and is easily worth the cost difference. Battery charger can do parallel charging now. The drone charges a battery much faster when plugging directly into the rear of the drone. I saw almost 40W at one point. How they managed to get all of these features in a palm size drone is very impressive. If you have not flown a drone before, I would watch some beginner videos before you fly to understand, and then be smart when flying. The object avoidance is not magic. ... show more

Overall very satisfied with it. Battery life is fine, it is robust, and flying is fun. I especially like its accident avoidance systems, extremely handy as I live In a forest. Another couple nice features: it holds its position so you can adjust the optics and it knows its way back avoiding trees the whole way. Only issue it is a finicky syncing to its remote. It always does it, i find finesse and patience are key. Overall, this a quality mini-drone and well worth the $. If you want one, buy one now as they may not be available much longer. ... show more

Wow, this drone is awesome. The video and photo quality, ease of flying, compactness and battery life are amazing on their own but then I accidentally flew when I didn’t know the wind was going to pick up dramatically. It still flew brilliantly in gusty winds and the high wind warning alert on the controller helped to ensure I headed back from my flight in time for the battery to not die while I was still flying. ... show more

I bound the drone to my DJI account and updated the firmware no issues. At first I couldn't get it to pick up any satellites, but after leaving it outside for 20 min it acquired 25 GPS signals. The drone is pretty easy to fly and it takes great pictures and videos.
