  • Most important accessory to my a9
Style: Handle
Perfect accessory to my a9. Of course it’s much cheaper and has cosmetic imperfections, however it’s hardly noticeable when compared to the benefit of working with an extra battery on deck. It does feel light and made of plastic, but when it’s locked onto the camera, it feels alright, lightweight but sturdy enough. I have two of these now and it’s the best bang for your buck. Works as it should. Shutter button definitely feels different from the camera button. But it’s clicky and works well. The buttons and dial work as they should as well. The grip is more rubbery than the camera’s leather like grip, however i like this better since it feels like it grips better in the hands, not slippery. To be real nit-picky, you can tell slightly that it’s a different material, finish and weight, however you’ll be the only one to know or even care LOL. The benefits far out-way the cons, imho. It’s also nice that there’s no giant visible logo like other third party brands. ... show more

  • Very nice battery grip. Worked on my A7III
Style: Handle
So I was pleasantly surprised with this battery grip, first off it was well packaged and arrived quickly. Secondly, when I took it out of the packaging you notice right away that the grip texture that is used feels really good in the hand- it doesn't have that cheap shiny plastic feel to it, this actually looks and feels WAY better. I tested out the buttons and they all work great, BUT I noticed another reviewer said this as well- the buttons do feel plasticy and clicky... if this battery grip has a fault, that is where it is. For the price, I am able to overlook that though, it operates as expected and looks great. I wont be using anything else besides the shutter button on the battery grip anyways. I do recommend this as a budget option for battery grips. ***update I started getting the incorrect battery message.... so if you have the sony batteries, you will be fine. If you have off brand, be prepared for this... you just need to pull the battery pack out and put it back in and it goes away until the next time you use the camera. ... show more

  • Great value battery grip. A7riii/A9
Style: Handle
Build quality - 3.5/5 Performance - 5/5 Value - 4.5/5 Overall happy with product. I own several Neewer products and I've been very happy with the value they provide. I also own another Neewer battery grip for my Sony A7ii. Which I will say the build quality on the A7ii feels better imo compared to this one. The plastic feels cheaper on this model compared to my other. The battery door lock also seems cheaper and it doesn't slide as smoothly as the A7ii version. I'm going to keep it because this is still a great value for your money. One thing I will say is, if you are looking to get this for your A9. I would the sony brand. You have an A9 - just get the Sony one lol. For others looking for a budget grip, this is a great purchase. ... show more

  • Makes my A7iii much easier to handle.
Style: Handle
I'm a wedding and event photographer, and recently switched from Canon to Sony. I enjoyed many things about the Sony, but the camera has poor ergonomics, especially if you have large hands like myself. After shoot my first wedding with the A7iii, I realized how much I missed the feel of the Canon in my hand. I quickly ordered this grip from Neewer, based on the price, previous experience with the brand, and other Amazon review. It arrived quickly, and I immediately installed it on the camera with 2 batteries. It felt solid, worked flawlessly, and made the camera much more comfortable to hold, which was my main goal. Fast forward to the next weekend, and I'm back out there shooting another wedding. This grip made the shoot much more comfortable, doubled my battery life, and made handling my big ol' 80-200mm 2.8 lens(adapted Nikon) so much easier. The grip does add some weight, but it is well worth the trade off for the added ergonomics. About 10 weddings, 10 portrait shoots, and several real estate listings later, I have not had a single issue with the grip. I would highly recommend this grip from Neewer(as well as a bunch of their other products)! ... show more

  • Doesn’t work with the A7IV
Style: Handle
Some of the reviews said it did but when I tried it the battery cover wouldn’t fit into the slot on the grip and the grips part that goes into the cameras battery slot wouldn’t go in right.
