Works well for the application I use it in. Have had it for 3 months so far and not complains. If you haven’t done research on it it’s a very front heavy lens if that is a factor for you. The picture quality is really sharp and clear, you can get good photos at a distance. Fully maxed out at the 400mm the picture does get noisy and you can see the grain in the picture which doesn’t make the photo the best, but for the price point compared to other lens it’s really good for what it is. ... show more

This Canon RF lens may not have the fancy red stripe or the lowest aperture but it takes fantastic photos. I have used it for everything from light macro to tracked astrophotography and it performs well for what it is. Images are very crisp and I don't hear the autofocus operating.
