However, about 1 in 5 pencils is defective upon opening and will not twist up. Because the subscription price is so good, and because I don’t have to search several stores before finding this item, I’m more than willing to put up with the occasional defective pencil. I buy this eyeliner all the time in the stores. This is the first time I’ve ever bought it on Amazon. The first one I opened was okay. The second one, seemed to be old, or dried out or something. It constantly kept breaking off into little pieces. I even got a piece in my eye that took me forever to get out!
