If you are looking for a Canon U.S. version, please be diligent to check the seller and make sure it’s a U.S. version because the one I received made no mention of it being an international one with an Australian warranty card, which Canon USA will not accept so basically the warranty will be void. I had to return the original one I ordered and reorder a “sold by Amazon” one which is the true U.S. version. Aside from all that, this is an awesome battery grip that saves my shutter hand, arm, and shoulder from being overly stressed while taking vertical images for headshots and portraits. Works as intended, extends shooting time with the double batteries, and the handy buttons on the giro make it so much easier to shoot vertically. But it does add a lot more weight to the camera, especially when I have my big on-camera speed-light and bigger lens on it, whew!! All good though, definitely worth it 👍🏽 ... show more

Why a 5 Star and it was returned? It's just too dang big. Great quality, but this thing is large. It's my issue, not the product itself.

I always love having vertical grips on my cameras, it helps shooting vertically a lot more convenient. The extra slot for a 2nd battery helps my shooting sessions last longer without interruption and it also serves as a counterweight to big fat heavy lenses. With the grip, lenses like 28-70 f2, 70-200mm f2.8 and even 85mm 1.2 will feel way more balance on the camera, so less strain on your wrist. The grip will make the entire set up feel more balance despite the extra weight it will add to your set up. I guess that's the trade-off you have to make for the grip. The only major problem i have with the grip is the steep price, I remember Canon battery grip used to be a lot cheaper, i dont see a whole lot more tech added to the grip but the price is pretty much double what the older grips used to cost. ... show more
