  • Good Portable Projector
Style: Capsule 3 laser
This projector works great for people who want portability. Otherwise, it fails badly against other larger projectors such as the XGIMI Halo+ (similar price) or XGIMI Mogo 2 Pro (cheaper with similar specs). If you travel frequently and want to take the projector with you, this is the best option. Its pretty small and light compared to the competition. It is similar to a medium sized fountain drink cup. The image is fairly bright and crisp. It supports most of the popular streaming services out of the box except NetFlix which must be manually installed. It supports WIFI and Ethernet (using USB C Ethernet Adapter - purchased separately). The battery lasts 2.5hrs or so depending on your brightness settings. I really like the USB C connector for charging. When you go camping, a USB C power bank can be used to charge the Projector. It allows me to attach a USB C hub with Ethernet adapter. I can charge the device while watching content from USB Key or connect to an Ethernet network. If you have a business class firewall like Sonicwall, your Youtube maybe blocked. The Android Youtube app tries to access some ports on Google which generates warnings on my Sonicwall. I had to disable those warnings for my Youtube to work. ... show more

  • Simply the best portable HD projector
Style: Capsule 3 laser
I have had a few portable projectors over the years. But, this one blows away the rest considering the total package. It is truly portable. It has a rechargeable battery lasting more than two hours. It's a native 1080p projector. I had been deceived by others when they say the projector "supports" 1080p or 4k. That is Not the same as having a native high resolution. The picture in a relatively dim place is remarkable for this size projector, and it's a laser projector! The auto focus and keystone corrections are fast! The sound for its size if fantastic. Android TV 11 and Google store give you the options of many entertainment apps. The con is a bit pricey. Overall, there is nothing like it currently on the market given the size, sound, resolution, battery, features , etc. ... show more

  • Cool and Impressive Little Projector, with caveats
Style: Capsule 3 laser
Great little combo projector and bluetooth speaker in one small package. Bought mainly to use for personal entertainment as well as to entertain family. The auto-focus and auto keystone is convenient and works really well. The image quality and brightness (for this type of projector--caveats, see below) is pretty good and the sound is reasonbly loud. The onboard Android TV allows you to watch Hulu, Prime Video, Apple TV, and others, and the included HDMI port is helpful as well. It also does support AirPlay from your phone (I tested it with mirroring so far). You can also pair bluetooth headphones in lieu of using internal speakers, which is great. The battery life seems to be okay, depending on the brightness settings, but you'll likely want to bring a USB-C charger with you if you want to use it for any extended period of time. If you use it as a bluetooth speaker only (with the projector disabled) the battery life will likely be much longer. Cons: * The brightness (not really Anker's fault, here). The projector is best suited to a perfectly dark (or nearly so) area with a screen size no larger than 100" or so. In a brightly-lit room or outside in the daytime, this projector is basically useless. This is reasonably bright for a battery-driven personal pico projector, but at 300 lumens, this doesn't come close to a "regular" projector (which normally throws 3000 lumens or more using a halogen lamp). The relatively high price point for this device (which i've seen normally around 600-700 dollars) buys you the portability and convenience more than anything else. If you want to show professional presentations or use it in a well-lit room at larger screen sizes, spend a couple hundred more on a decent Optoma, Epson, etc. * While perfectly usable, the integrated Android TV is slow and laggy. * While watching content on the projector, the speaker volume could be louder. It's generally fine in an otherwise quiet room, but if there's any amount of other activity going on, you may end up maxing the volume and still want it louder. This doesn't seem to be as much an issue in Bluetooth speaker mode. * Battery life is okay, but depending on the brightness settings, you may only get an hour or two on a full charge (so you may end up needing a usb-c charger and outlet/battery bank more than you'd like). ... show more

  • I love this potent little projector.
Style: Capsule 3 laser
Brighter than something this small has a right to be. Amazingly, its speakers are so good you could use it as a portable Bluetooth speaker just for music! Of course, their size can only do so much, so external speakers is still recommended for movie-watching — and is a simple and intuitive process. Same with connecting AirPods etc. The best feature has to be the autofocus. No matter the angle or distance, the projector’s calibration camera notices when the display is out of focus and fixes it automatically. You can then fine-tune if needed, but I’ve rarely had to. I am glad I got the version with built-in Google TV. The user interface is simple and intuitive, with good integrated speech commands from the remote. One single quibble: The remote is often laggy. Not unusably so — just enough to occasionally double-tap from thinking the first press wasn’t hard enough. Gets less noticeable once you’re used to it; I almost forgot to include it in this review, so it must not be a deal-breaker. I’ve only sampled a handful of portable projectors, but between that and my frankly excessive cross-comparison of specs of different models — I’d guess this is the best projector of its size and price point. I have not once regretted my purchase. ... show more

  • Worst for laser protectors
Style: Capsule 3 laser
The picture is alright if the projector is really close and u don’t mind the small screen size. The farther away the screen is, the more noticeable the pixels get which is very annoying when u want to watch a bigger picture. It doesn’t make a difference if the room is pitch black. But this isn’t the reason for the horrendous review, the reason for this review is expect to baby the hell out of this projector. It might seem like a small and mighty projector until u drop it once. I dropped mine once and after a few days the fan to cool the projector decided it wasn’t good enough to keep up with the heat of the laser and would power down after 3 minutes of the projector being on. Keep in mind that I haven’t even owned the thing for even a month. And on top of that, the projector isn’t one bit friendly to repair and the fan is sandwiched between the top and bottom. So overall my projector overhead, I tried to fix it, I realized halfway through the tear down that it wasn’t possible, on the way to put it back together, i bricked the thing. I should’ve just sent the dumb thing back and got a refund. So if ur buying, BUY WITH A WARRANTY. Other things like laggy ui is a thing as well. All together, this laser is not worth the money, there r better projectors on the market that r not only repair friendly but offer better ui and similar if not better picture quality in a compact and easy to carry format. I wouldn’t mind if the price was way cheaper. I might look for a used one in the future, but have ordered something else that’s way better, so who knows. ... show more

  • Great for Travel, but a Bit Dim and Basic
Style: Capsule 3 laser
I’ve been using the Nebula Anker Capsule 3 Laser, and honestly, it’s super handy when I’m on the go. It’s super small and light—so light, in fact, that I barely notice it in my backpack. It’s easy to toss in and take to a friend’s place, a dorm, or even on weekend trips. Setting it up is simple, and the smart features make it easy to connect to Wi-Fi and stream from apps like Netflix or YouTube without needing a separate device. But there are a couple of downsides. The picture isn’t as bright as what I’ve seen from the XGimi Go, so in a room with a lot of light, the image can look washed out. If I’m using it during the day or in a bright room, I have to close the blinds to get the best picture. Also, it doesn’t come with an adjustable stand, which would’ve been nice. The XGimi Go has one, and it makes it easier to angle the projector just right. With the Capsule 3, I’m stuck either placing it flat or using a tripod or shelf to get the right height. Overall, I’d say it’s a solid pick if portability is your top priority. It’s not the most powerful or feature-packed projector, but for tossing in a bag and watching movies on a hotel wall or a blank sheet at a campsite, it gets the job done. Just don’t expect super bright visuals or built-in flexibility with angles. It’s a trade-off—small size and smart features, but less brightness and fewer built-in mounting options. ... show more

  • Don't cheap out. Buy it.....
Style: Capsule 3 laser
So far, its been the best projector I've experience. Its not cheap, but it's well worth the money if you want a quality projector. This is coming from someone who normally doesn't write reviews with the exception of if the product is either REALLY BAD or REALLY GOOD. It this case the product is really good. It gets my stamp of approval! ... show more
