This LED strip is good overall, but not the best quality compared to 5050 LEDs. 5050 LEDs are brighter and more versatile. This strip is ok for its purpose. Pros: - Decent kelvin range from ~2000k-~6000k - adhesive strip is good, no problems so far for an interior lighting job - The strip is thin, so it WILL fit in smaller diffuser bars Cons: - There are a few of the bulbs already out. Like the picture shows, there is a dim spot in my strip where the blue part of the LED will not light up. Its not noticeable unless you look under my cabinets, but its still an issue. - the strip is not waterproof or even abrasion-proof. It seems pretty easy to break overall if your not careful - the max brightness is not super bright. Its ok for night lighting, but not good for during the day at all. Overall this strip is ok, but I would go with a 5050 LED strip in the future to have brighter lights and more durability. ... show more

    • Bright and Incredibly Thin LED lights!

The media could not be loaded. If you are looking for LED lights to light up your space look no further. These are fully adjustable and controllable by using the WS2811 protocol to control sequences, brightness, etc. I like that they are very small LEDs and almost create the illusion of fluorescent lights. These are really easy to work with, 3 wires to connect; positive, negative, and data. One of the best features of these LED lights is the 24v input. This will allow multiple strands to be connected without the voltage drop that is common with 5v and 12v strips. I'm planning to order more soon to complete a kitchen light project. Size: 16.4FT Tunable 3000K-6000K
The tricky part of BTF lighting is that some of it is 12v and some 24v. This particular reel is 24v, and it's wonderful having the option of mixing various white levels, and having a nice bright light source, and having an app to control the addressable patterns. If you try powering it up at 12v, nothing happens - it needs a minimum of 19.5v to turn on. (Of course if you mistakenly power up a 12v reel at 24v, you'll quickly burn it out). The power couplings are identical, so I use Sharpies to mark the connectors as to the correct voltage source. If this is your first time grabbing a BTF reel, you'll need an addressable controller purchased separately. You may desire a remote but the smartphone app can be used to set up the presentation and then you can use the hard-wired power switch to turn the controller off and on. ... show more
