This headlight is a great value for the price. I installed a Pathfinder h4 3000lm bulb 2 years ago. It was a major upgrade from the stock halogen. After riding with some friends that have newer bikes, I have a 2008 Dyna Wide Glide, I notice how bright and wide their led headlights were. After I got back home from the ride I set out to make some slight changes to be ready for the next ride. I considered the Daymaker but was hesitant to spend $399 for a headlight when I am not a big nighttime rider. So I set out to research led headlights and read a few reviews that put the Wisamic light in the top 10 usually coming in 6th. So off to amazon to look it up. Of course it’s there and it’s a Prime item. Even better if I shipped it to an amazon locker facility I can pick it up next day. Next day I picked up the light and went home to install it. Installation is a breeze. Unscrew retaining ring pull out headlight unplug it, plug in the Wisamic align the tabs and insert in headlamp, re-attach retaining ring and that’s it. I did need to adjust my headlamp for the right spot but once dialed in it is a great light. The beam is like an oval shape with great side to side coverage. High beam is noticeable and useful. Compared to the Pathfinder led bulb the Wisamic is a wider beam with better light coverage and definitely brighter. I added photos to show the difference between a bulb replacement vs a headlight replacement. I am now ready for the next trip and with the days getting shorter my riding time doesn’t need to. ... show more

The light was bright, but i noticed my light vibrating at resonate frequencies... i uninstalled the light and noticed the top left plastic refractor was loose- and it abraded the plastic lens. the screws that hold it into place came loose. bummer. i contacted Ocean Source and they got me a replacement really quick. so i thank them, i still had my stock light but who wants stock once u see bright LED(At least with the Vicky Octane). so to say i reinstalled my stock, but i avoided night riding. Now for the light: its bright... way lighter than stock. In SC its deer season year round in the rural parts. A story: last week i was coming home bout 1130pm... i had high beams on doing 60mph(i normally do 40 tops on this road at night but had a cager driving too close when i was in front, and getting on the brakes too often when i was behind... so be before the road turned to one lane, i speed up to get some distance). So i got my distance and i'm in my rear view checking to make sure they were well behind me.... so to say my focus was not 100% in front of me. im thinking to myself, im going to fast heading into deer ally. i was about a mile away from home and 40-50 feet out,.... a BIGGO deer!!... i instantly react, i lock up my rear, fish tailed, but i did not high side, thank stephanie tanner and baby mark messier. Im a calm rider so i can hand a fish tail at 50mph, but i was still lucky. this is why: -my tires were warmed up as it was the end of my ride -the ground was dry -i had LED lighting which gave me a BRIGHT shot of what was ahead of me. -Ocean Source sent me a replacement light ASAP and i installed it ASAP If i did not have this LED light, i dont think i would have had 40 feet to react, would been more like 25... which is NOTHING when you talking about avoiding a deer strike on 2 wheels doing 50-60. So if u have a stock light, GO LED(even if u pick a diff style from a diff place-- just get visible!!- this light of mine is perfect for me, my taste, my safety)... seller has prompt customer service- i had to utilize it so i know. The light looks nice on the octane as well. With this light and my riding strategy, ppl dont pull out in front of me, they instead tend to wait- still yet im not complacent out there. dont wait to do this upgrade.... its cheap and can save your life. buy with confidence. A lot of reviews show what the light looks like on a bike or the beam pointed at a wall 5 feet away and you just dont get a good sense of the beam pattern or how well it lights up in front of you. Which is what i wanted to know and just took a chance on. Fortunatly i was pleasantly surprised at how much this lights up. I dont have pics comparing stock to this light because my bike had a cheap led on it when i bought it. But i'm satisfied how much this lights up things in front of me while riding. When you get away from urban areas and overhead lighting it really becomes apparent how well this works. Its a nice bright white light. In the pics it looks like all the light is pushed further out in front of you but while riding i have no problems seeing things closer to the front tire either. Daytime riding, it also makes the bike more noticeable to people in front of you. It installed easily and i havent had any issues with overheating or condensation. No flickering. Its definitely a big improvement for very little money and i'd buy it again. ... show more

Right up front I want to love this light and give it 5 stars. This light has an awesome black background that blends in nicely with my Iron 883 Sportster. Once installed it is INSANE how bright this light is and how much light it shows down road! During the night I can see so much more than with the stock light, it isn't even funny. When you see the amount of light it shines and how much you can see at night, you realize it's a shame that H-D doesn't install their Day Makers as stock for pure safety reasons. The great thing about this light is that it is everything you want out of a super bright LED headlight and without the H-D tax (the infamous markup). Okay, now for the not so good stuff. The install was way more difficult than it should have been for me. The old H-D light came out easily enough. The issue with this light is that it comes with a cord to plug into the stock hook-ups. The stock light fits extremely snug into the light's housing and there isn't much room in there for anything at all, let alone a cord and a plug! It is nice that it a plug-and-play light and you don't have to hardwire the light. But at the same time, I had so much trouble getting the light to sit right in the housing. Needless to say, it took me almost an hour of being extremely patient and taking [anger] breaks until I finally had that thing seated in the housing. Once finally seated in the housing it looks great and performs amazing! I have a buddy that ordered this light at around the same time and I received and installed mine a few days early. He said he had none of the problems that I experienced and it took him like 10 minutes. So maybe it's just me. The real reason I gave this light 4 stars and not 5 is the attached picture. The very first ride in the early morning in Ohio (not a very humid place mid summer) and the lens fogged up. I don't know why it is doing this but it is extremely annoying. The only saving grace is that later on in the day when it warmed up, the fog disappeared. That and the light is a fraction of the price of the actual H-D Day Maker. ... show more

In the Triumph forums I follow I saw mention that this light was a mechanical replacement for the stock headlight on the 2018 and newer Speedmasters where one metal tab had to be bent lightly. I bought this and found it fit just fine and couldn't figure out what tab might need bending. However, electrically I had to figure out which of the five wires that went to the stock headlight had to go to the three that this light used. That meant experimentation since I had no wiring diagram available for the motorcycle. Not hard, took a couple of hours being very careful not to damage anything. Also had to buy a three wire adapter for the stock cable that had to be cut off from the stock light and reused for this one. So, went night riding with the light. The low beam pattern is brighter and wider than stock. Also a bit uneven. Loved the brighter and wider pattern and at first was a bit concerned about the unevenness of the pattern. Now, after a couple hours of night riding I don't even see the unevenness any longer. The wider pattern at low beam, which I didn't know I was going to get, makes low speed turning easier to do, I had no idea that having light more to each side would be a plus. Lucky me! Clicking on the high bean does sort of smooth out a slight bit of the distant part of the low beam pattern. The high beam is also narrower than the stock light and that's a plus. The wider pattern the stock light had meant it illuminated distant road signs way too much and because of their retro-flectiveness they were way to bright for me, you could call it blinding. This light does not do that at all. So, tying it all together, I got a brighter light which is what I got it for, and I got different beam patterns that also make it a better light than stock. the install was relatively easy, only word of advise is to put a towel or cloth on the shock if you have integrated turning signals like mine or the screw driver will damage it, caught myself right before starting to unscrew the ring screw, aside from that it's relatively easy to install and had no issues with the housing space to fit the extra cable length from the daymaker, had to re-adjusted the following day as it moved slightly so it was bugging me that it wasnt straight. the light itself is pretty bright but it doesnt reach far out even with the high beams on, i adjusted the headlight and lifted it a little bit and that helped tremendously so for now i'm a happy camper. havent had issue with the fogging like i saw on some other reviews, had a few chilly mornings in LA area past few days and no issues so far so crossing fingers it doesnt happen. i also saw some reviews that battery was getting drained or the electrical issues of high beam coming on or light bulb fuse blown alert, havent had anything yet and had it for 3 days, will update review again if i run into any of those issues. all in all, looks nice, brighter than stock & way cheaper than HD Daymaker :) ... show more

So I had been wanting to change my lights to LED lights for awhile, when one of my friends told me about these. I did some research and decided to give them a try, especially for such a low price compared to Harleys price of $300+! I’m in the process of doing quite a few mods on my 17’ 883 and when this came in I saw super excited to install it. Removal of the old light is easy and instillation of this one is basically reverse. However, the connection that connects to the factory headlight connector is kinda bulky. I struggled for awhile just trying to get the new LED to fit in enough to be able to get the headlight trim back around it. BUT MAN!!! It was totally worth the slight inconvenience! They are so bright and they look great. Like I said I’m working on the bike now so I haven’t taken her outside much to get good pics but just seeing them on inside the warehouse it’s clear to see how much better they are! I rolled her out at night just to see and make sure they really are all that and they defiantly are! Would recommend to everyone who is thinking of upgrading their sportster headlight to LED! ... show more
