  • Excellent Performance and Very Quiet
Size: Flow
The Narwal Flo has exceeded my expectations. The vacuuming is powerful and consistent, easily picking up dust, hair, and debris, while the mopping function leaves floors clean, streak-free, and quickly dry. Its obstacle avoidance is highly accurate, smoothly navigating around furniture and cords without getting stuck. Another major plus is how quiet it is during operation, even on higher settings. Overall, the Narwal Flo is a reliable, well-designed robot that delivers excellent cleaning results with minimal noise. Highly recommended. ... show more

  • Easy, dual-action cleaning from my favorite robotic minion
Size: Flow
We just moved into a new home, and the main floor is mostly engineered plank. With three small dogs, it was difficult to keep things looking clean and tidy, mostly because neither my wife nor I felt like sweeping and mopping every other day. We had a Samsung robotic vacuum at our last house, and its performance was disappointing, so we were skeptical about robotic vacuums in general. Still, with so much floor space in need of tending, we thought we'd give someone else a try. Enter the Narwal Flow. After a few weeks of fully automatic cleaning every other night, we've been converted to True Believers. The Flow was easy to set up and is even easier to use. I had it set up and doing its first mapping/patrolling within 15 minutes. Every other night, Mr. Narwal leaves his dock, patiently sweeps up all the grass, dirt, and other assorted dog-related grime, and when he's finished, he mops everything for good measure. The AI does a decent job with avoiding obstacles and self-correcting. It alerts me via the app if it gets into trouble and needs a helping hand. I've had to dislodge some area rug grip pads a few times, but I simply yank them out, and Mr. Narwal gets back to business with one click. The broad roller mop is what sold us on this particular robot, and I feel like it was the right choice for our floor. I can't see any streaks or cleaning marks, and it does a stellar job of cleaning without overwatering. I don't even use cleaning solution for the mopping; straight tap water seems to be doing the job. Since it only takes a minute, I empty the waste tank and fill the water reservoir every other deployment. The app is pretty straightforward, and it's fun to see the robot's progress as it zips around our house. You can even activate the cameras on the robot and see through its eyes if you want to go looking for wayward pets while you're away. Speaking of pets, we were worried that our dogs would be terrified of this thing, but after the first few deployments, they've pretty much accepted that it's not a threat and generally ignore it. Your mileage may differ, but it's a win for us. We've only had Mr. Narwal for about a month, but I definitely recommend this robot. It's easy to use and does a decent job on both our area rugs and vinyl plank flooring. Yes, he's a bit pricier than some models, but it feels like a good investment. Recommended. ... show more

  • The next generation of robot vaccums/moppers take a giant leap forward
Size: Flow
Wow, what a difference a few years can make! I purchased the Shinebot in early 2022, at a time when robot moppers were still in their infancy. I was willing to put up with the streaks, the mess of cleaning them up, and their finnicky operation ("Please check the universal wheel," the Shinbot would bark at me incessantly) because I loved the idea of someone doing the mopping for me. It's remarkable that, even in 2025, I had nursed the Shinebot along and it was still mopping on occasion, although I had increasingly relied on hand mopping because "Sloppy" (our affectionate nickname for it) just didn't do a good job of mopping. When I read about the new generation of dual vacuuming/moppng robots, I grew excited. Reviews were saying that these machines actually did a great job of mopping, even getting into corners. Could this really be true? Well folks, I'm here to tell you that "yes, it is true--believe it!" There are three key advantages of the Narwal over my old Shinebot: 1. Easy upkeep. The Shinebot docks to its station periodically to clean itself (you read that right!), rinsing the mops with hot water that is promptly sucked into a dirty water bin and refreshing its clean water tank from the station's large refillable bin. It even uses hot air to deep clean and dry its mop at night! So far, all I've had to do is empty the dirty water bin and fill the clean water/cleaning solution bin every week or two. Can this be real? 2. Mopping & vacuuming that rival that of a conscientous human. My partner is deeply skeptical or robots of any kind, but when she saw the results and admitted that "it may do a better job than I could," I knew we were on to something. Unlike Shinebot, Narwal does not leave streaks--only an immaculate floor that one might consider eating off of. This is due in part to the fact that it cleans with113 degree F water, which cuts through grease. It is also capable of sensing dirt and scrubbing it, using downward pressure and a rapid spin rate to remove spots. While it can't clean every stubborn spot or get into every nook and cranny, it does a great job, especially if you're willing to pick up everything that might impede it. 3. Lidar mapping leads to precise cleaning, even on a schedule. Narwal will map out your home as its first mission. You'll see the map being drawn as it moves around your house. After naming the rooms and making any necessary corrections, you can command Narwal to clean any room or group of rooms at any time. For those who want Narwal to do the work regularly, you can set up a cleaning schedule, perhaps commanding Narwal to clean at night so it doesn't disrupt your daytime activities. This goes well beyond Shinebot; I love it! 4. Oh yeah, it vaccums too. Narwal is capable of vacuuming "just in time" as it mops, or you can tell it to got out on separate vaccuming and mopping missions if you want a deeper clean. The vacuuming is great; it has a HEPA filter and empties its dustbin into the docking station using powerful suction. You only need to change the station's vacuum bag periodcially. Overall, for me, this robot is worth every penny. It has improved the quality of my life. ... show more
