I had a small tree/bush fall in my backyard recently due to heavy winds and rain. I had looked at renting a large wood chipper but at a cost of $300 per day, it wasn’t to cost effective. Needless to say, I started looking online for a cheaper wood chipper and came across this one. Listed for $100 I had my doubts, but the reviews were pretty good, so I figured what the heck. The instructions were not the greatest because all it consists of are pictures, and they aren’t exactly the clearest, but most everyone should be able to put it together. A word of advice, you will need a pair of pliers when putting the wheels together, to hold the wheel axle/rod while tightening the tires. With that being said, that’s probably the only con with this wood chipper. It started right up and in was able to shred a large pile of branches in about 45 mins. This chipper is just awesome!!! It chewed/shredded almost all branches, including leaves, with very little effort. I was surprised at how powerful it was and how easily it made work of all branches I had. It reduced my pile of branches to just under 1 and half bags of mulch. Normally I clip and clip and clip branches to reduce the dice to maximize the use of my yard can. But I can tell that I would probably need to spend all day to accomplish what this wood chipper did in 45 minutes. A few things to keep in mind is that branches should be smaller than 1 inch in diameter. I did try some thicker branches and it did chew thru them. But I could hear the motor strain a little. Also you can bundle branches together tightly to get them to go through at one time. Also do not let the bag fill all the way up or it will jam the blades (I learned this after the 1st bag). This wood chipper is definitely worth more than $100 in the time and energy you’re going to save using it to reduce your yard waste. Plus it’s going to save you money in wood chips for your yard, by using your own garden material in your yard. My only recommendation is, it would be nice to have an area to hang the pushing handle on the machine. I just kept my on the ground next to it, but if it could be attached to the wood chipper, it would be more convenient. That aside it’s a powerful and easy to use wood chipper. And is no more noise than a vacuum cleaner. If you’re thinking about a wood chipper, stop scrolling and just buy this one. It’s the best $100 purchase you’ll make!!!

Easy to install and the size is just right for my garage. I’m not super handy and I still had it set up pretty quickly. It’s compact and doesn’t take up a ton of space, but it feels sturdy. I mainly use it for yard cleanup small branches, twigs, and a bunch of leaves and it does a really nice job turning everything into mulch/compost material. The 55L collecting bin is a good size too, so I’m not constantly stopping to empty it.

This small chipper/shredder is useful for repurposing small yard waste (branches, twigs) instead of wasting time to dispose it. I had quite a few fallen branches from trees after storms. They were piled up for disposal. This chipper easily chewed throught them and created a nice little pile of mulch It took a while to push branches one at a time, but now the pile is cleared and I have six large bags full of mulch for composting. In summary this maching works well for its intended use. Cannot much large branches but great for mulching through small (green or dried) maple, walnut, poplar, crepe myrtle, mulberry tree branches. I also have pine branches but I dont want to mix them with the mulch. Light-weight and practical machine, easy to move around the yard.

Hello everyone. This is Charlie and I'm reviewing this MZK electric wood chipper that I purchased for cleaning up a lot of branches in my backyard. This was pretty easy to assemble although I did have to read the written and pictured instructions a couple of times. I would say that this was a good product at the start of the job, but since then it has failed me. This is just after a couple of hours use during which the unit was switched off to cool down while I gathered up more branches. When I received this the first thing wrong was the bottom of the included collection bag was torn. This is for hanging from the red clips on the sides of the chipper itself. I still use the collection bag because I wanted to see how it work even though some of the shredded material leaked out. I like the fact that the unit rolls around and it's a nice compact chipper, but I noticed that during the first day of use, after about 35 minutes it started shutting off. I thought I'd let it cool down for 30 mins like the instructions book recommends. Then I started again and it was going good and the auto feed feature was working well. Then this unit stopped working again after just a few small branches. At the end of the second hour of use it just started turning off a lot repeatedly. So I just called it quits for the day. The next day I used MZK WOOD CHIPPER, It was even worse. This machine would repeatedly stop WORKING, just after a few minutes! Even with it just being fed small branches. Not even a stick as thick as my thumb could it handle. The small little twigs it handles very well but as far as any branches it was just not going to work at all, shuts off too often. This is not the type of quality chipper I as a customer really like, I'm sending it back, and I've ordered a new one of a different make and brand. I have noticed that these all look alike so I'm not sure if they're made at the same place with just different sellers or how this works. Okay, well that's my review on this. I hope it helps. I picked up this wood chipper to deal with branches and yard waste as the trees go in to hibernation. This has been a great help as normally I'd work on breaking down the large branches and stuff them in the garbage bins. It handled twigs and small branches smoothly and turned piles of trimmings into manageable mulch quickly. Being electric, its much quieter than gas options you would get, which i really appreciate when working in the yard and not disturbing the family or neighbors. The collecting bin is a nice touch and keeps the area clean while I work. Setup was straightforwardish, and when everything was up and running the machine felt stable and easy to work with. The bin has a lock so you cant accidentally turn on the machine or have a mess on the floor. Definitely recommend this as a solid option for regular home maintenance and does what you need without adding too many complications.

It’s autumn, and I had a ton of branches after trimming my backyard trees. Throwing them away felt wasteful, but this chipper solved that problem. It easily chops the branches into mulch, which I spread around the base of my trees. Not only does it clean up the yard, but it also gives the soil extra nutrients. The machine is straightforward to use and makes garden maintenance much more efficient. Great way to recycle yard waste!
