Good Clear Sound, Strong Bass, Easy Setup and Use, Solid Value!
Style: Skywave X70
Strong bass, easy setup, good surround for the price! This system feels and looks high quality and durable. Initial setup was very easy using eARC HDMI (FireTV Stick → Panasonic VIERA 50" TV → sound bar). Bluetooth from the Fire TV Stick also works well NOTE: Before connecting the sound bar to a second Bluetooth device, such as a phone, you need to put the sound bar back into pairing mode again. The 10-inch subwoofer is very strong and fills my cathedral-ceiling family room nicely, delivering plenty of low, boomy bass. Tighter, punchier bass that some music fans may want for more detailed drum-heavy tracks is lacking. Subwoofer placement matters a lot, especially near walls or corners. Moving it even a couple of feet, or changing the direction the port faces, can make a noticeable difference. The surround effect is good, but my cathedral ceiling works against it somewhat. This system would perform even better in a room with a standard flat ceiling. Settings are straightforward, which I see as both a pro and a con. There is no auto-calibration, room correction, or microphone option, so you will need to experiment with speaker placement yourself. Surround levels can be adjusted from -6 to +6. Audio EQ settings are similar, though the custom EQ gives a bit more granular control. The Ultimae app is easy to navigate and gives access to the more detailed settings. The included Ultimae remote is also simple to use. Repeated presses of a function button cycle through settings, and the level number displays on the sound bar as you adjust it. Overall, this is a very good choice for someone who wants stronger-than-average subwoofer output in a system that is simple, effective, easy to use, and reasonably priced. A couple of limitations: At present, Amazon Fire TV remotes cannot be programmed to directly control this unit. The sound bar does power on and off through the TV’s HDMI connection, which helps considerably. In my case, I mainly use the included remote for volume or occasional bass adjustments. Also, if you pause playback longer than the sound bar’s time-out setting (which is adjustable), you'll need to use the Ultimae remote to power it back on. Bottom line: Good sound, very strong bass, easy setup, simple controls, and solid value. ... show more

Best manufacturer for a high midrange priced system that will knock you on your but.

Absolutely phenomenal quality product. The component design for install is genius. Having the power supply external to the soundbar making it a lot lighter is something I have been waiting for a manufacturer to do. Volume is beyond adequate and feels like a movie theater. App connectivity allows easy adjusting with visual feedback and not just a few scrolling letters at the front of the sound. Bar. Battery life in the remote should be excellent because I’ll be using the app in my phone for most of the adjusting and use. Functionality is far beyond any system I have had before this. It functions at the level, quality, and clarity of a movie theater system. I recommend this system for anyone who wants a quality setup for a reasonable price. It out performs lg $1000 soundbar and subwoofer setups without a problem. I have this setup in my bedroom and it’s amazing and would easily fill a large size family room without hesitation. ... show more

Don't hesitate, this soundbar is worth it!
Style: Skywave X70
Very impressive, ATMOS, sub is very powerful and the wireless satellite speakers are great. Setup was super easy, everything was already linked so I didn't have to bind anything. Very loud, very clean sound. Amazing packaging that was very well thought out and represented the quality of the unit. The soundbar is 3 piece that snaps together which is a very cool feature for shipping. The remote is user friendly and the HDMI eARC connected Setup was a breeze. This has outperformed all my other soundbars by leaps and bounds. Give it a try, no it's not a component 7.1 but let's be honest, its one of the best performing soundbar units that's easy, sounds great and really brings your movies alive. The Artificial "surround AI" type mode adds rear channel sounds to non surround or atmos programs as well which is cool. Great unit. Very happy. ... show more

Unbeatable quality at this price point
Style: Skywave X70
Such easy setup and amazing sound quality for the price point. Packaging was also excellent. Everything comes paired from the factory so it truly is plug and play. App is easy to use and free. Have not had any issues so far and very pleased with this system.

For the money this system is amazing and looks amazing. It rivals a lot of much higher priced systems but be forewarned that this sub is huge but it looks great so having it out front and center isn’t so bad. The sound and base quality is amazing however the only downside side is the monster base. So I highly recommend leaving the system on voice setting and adjusting eq levels from there. That setting works perfectly for everything from watching YouTube to gaming to the most crazy action movies “Transformers”!!! Can’t forget the remote. The remote is simple and gets the job done but it’s almost not ever needed since the app is what really does the work and since this system seamlessly links to your tv, the tv remote turns it on and controls the volume. ... show more

Ok, but up firing ATMOS is disappointing for the price
Style: Skywave X70
For a soundbar, its ok but overpriced even on sale. I have a 9.6.8 setup (9 speakers, 6 in-ceiling-heights, 8 subwoofers) in my Home theater. This soundbar is in the kids playroom. I also have a soundbar in the living room, though its not as nice as this one (no rear speakers). Pros 1. Bass is actually pretty good for such a small subwoofer. 2. System is nice and compact 3. Subwoofer/rear speakers are wireless; of course power is required 4. Plug and play; plugged it all in and it just worked. Setup is very easy. 5. E-arc works fine 6. Rear speakers are quite noticeable volume wise Cons 1. Sound quality is ok at best. 2. Up firing speakers for ATMOS are a joke, but this applies to any system that attempts this. 3. This replaced a very old analog Vizio 5.1 system. The Vizio sounded better. However, it didn't support e-arc, etc. Problem is, the subwoofer on the Vizio died and replacements are expensive since it was EOL a long time ago. Do I recommend? Not exactly - up-firing speakers are a gimmick at best and you are better off saving your $ and getting a 5.1 system. Atmos/DTS are ok if you have the speakers up in the ceiling. I imagine the X50 is a far better value for instance. I bought this one on discount and will avoid any 'up firing' systems in the future. ... show more

Great sound, easy setup, great price.
Style: Skywave X70
Bought this to replace my older home theater setup. Box it comes in is HEAVY. Keep that in mind when it arrives. The unboxing experience reminded of unboxing Apple items. Nice thick cardboard, heavy duty foam. Getting it put together and setup is as easy as it can get. The sub (which is probably the nicest sub I've ever owned, and I have 2 Polk 10" subs...it surpasses those in quality and looks) and surround speakers automatically connected as soon as I turned the soundbar on. Sound is incredible. It compares to my Yamaha, Fluance, Polk 7.2.2 system downstairs. Watched a movie on Prime and the re was an explosion in the movie I thought was going to take my house down! And the volume was only on 14 out of 100! The app is very nice, giving plenty of adjustments. Only downside is lack of DTS. If you have a room that's about 20' x 20', this will fill it with crazy good sound. Highly recommend. ... show more

great small footprint atmos sound bar
Style: Skywave X70
Well first I missed out on the new price as I was anxious to get it asap. I have had it a few weeks and been experimenting with it. First you must understand that not all streaming content supports atmos. I have done some research and found that there are several streaming services that do stream in Dolby Atmos. The good news is that the sound bar has a setting that converts dolby surround to an atmos experience. This system is an amazing addition to the family room connected to a 70 inch Insignia tv. The sound bar is not extremely heavy which at first concerned me, but not to worry the sound is great. The surround speakers sound really good even at high volumes and the subwoofer provides clear concise bass without sounding muddy or overtaking the overall sound experience. I have to say that in some action scenes the voice of center channel gets a bit diminished and I am hoping that ultimea will be able to address this in a future hardware update. This is my first experience with home atmos and it sounds absolutely incredible. It fills the room all around with spatial sounds. The volume is way louder than I will ever watch having tested it. If you are looking for a small footprint speaker system for a decent price and great performance look no further, Highly recommend ... show more
