  • Good, lightweight mower with good battery life and cutting power.
I wanted to wait a couple months of use before writing a review as I was skeptical of this smaller battery mower. But it has met expectations. It's a lightweight mower but easily mows a smaller yard and battery life has been very good so far. I've even been able to mow without a problem a semi-wet lawn. A heavy and wet lawn will casue it to clog up. But a thickly grassed dry lawn is no problem. I also have a larger backyard that is not quite as grassy but this mower usually does it using just one battery. Having the 2nd battery available definitely makes a difference though the charge is not quick, probably upwards of an hour. But overall very pleased with this product. ... show more

  • Decent but not good enough!
Revised review after day two of trying to use it: If I could, I would give this mower zero stars! It took me three charges just to finish my small front yard and now that I’m in the backyard I can’t even get halfway without both my batteries dying! I am so over this mower! It is so frustrating to get all dressed and geared up to do yardwork and can’t even get halfway or finish! Please save your money and put it towards and more expensive product so that you can accurately do your yard. This is nothing more than a toy. Original review: Not good enough! I had to re-order this mower after the first ‘s screw stripped, and I couldn’t get it off to assemble it. Let’s start with the instructions plain and simple they suck! The visuals are super confusing and very small and it does not help you put it together, literally at all! I had to just look at the picture of the mower up close on my phone to figure out how to put the mower together! There’s also no videos online on how to put it together so I made one myself. The back grass catcher won’t even snap together at all! It’s as if they did a 3-D printing of the mold and decided it looks great and slapped it in a box never testing it because it will not snap together to save my life! This frustration was caught on camera lol. Overall, the mower is very cheap lightweight material. Doesn’t feel sturdy at all!! The screws don’t stop turning even when it’s tight so be careful you could strip the little nozzles very easily. Everything about it looks like an easy bake oven toy as far as the quality. Had no clue about how to really turn it on, but watched someone’s video just modeling how to check the battery life and how to turn it on again a testament to how horrible the instruction manual is. I finally got the mower on and it does cut very close and looks good. This is a very small mower so you’re not going to get very much coverage at once and we’ll have to slightly overlap your work. I will say if you want to adjust the cutting good luck with that as a woman because it is so hard to get that cheap plastic to move that I just left it on its original setting. It comes with two batteries, but let me tell you that it’s almost one of the worst parts about it! You only get one charging station so I was only able to charge one battery all night long that battery had to have had 16+ hours of charge on it, but I was only able to cut half of my small front yard on that one battery before I had to change to the next one which was not fully charged. That battery only let me get half of the half of the front yard left🤬😡! So now I’m left with an undone front yard and the yard is not big at all! Who wants to come inside clean up and have to go back out later to finish the job. So very frustrating! Battery life on these electric mowers are the most important part otherwise you could just get a gas mower. Something that you know will last. I will say this I do think it’s pretty convenient not to have the cords and not to have to use gas but if you’re looking for an electric mower that will stand the test of time and that will get you through most of your yard on a battery charge this is NOT IT! Probably need to spend a little bit more money and make sure you read reviews to know if the batteries truly last a good while. I’m a single mom trying to just figure out how to do things the best I can and this was most definitely not worth the money I don’t have to spend. So moral of the story is spend a little bit more money if you’re going to do the electric route and get an expensive one that’s better quality and have a better lifespan on the battery. You have been warned! If for some reason you did buy this, I will have a YouTube video up on journey with Tiffany where you can see how I put it together. Good luck on your mowing journey. ... show more

  • Not a Toy
This lightweight unit has its niche. For older and disabled people this can do a reasonable job. I use it to trim edges and spots that were missed by my tractor. I am not good with weed eaters, and this does most of the weed eaters' job. This is also good for apartments with small yards. The height is adjustable and you can use the rear bagger to get up clippings. The battery powered motor does ebb some, I suspect to keep it from overheating. When I first looked at the blades, I thought these will never last, but for how it is being used, maybe they will. I am glad I got this. ... show more

  • PLESANTLY SURPRISED!
Ok, honestly, I didn't think this was gonna work! I've never purchased a lawn mower before and it became a daunting task pretty quickly - trying to determine if I go with gas, corded or electric, trying to calculate the total square footage of my front and back yards to determine the best blade size and then what price range was comfortable - it was giving me a swimming in the head! Plus, I didn't know if I would even like mowing my yard myself! So after going through all of the above I decided I'd test out a battery operated mower at a moderate price. And again, honestly, I was expecting to return it because I thought, how much of a mower could it be at this price point? But I have been pleasantly surprised! It was easy to assemble (putting the handle on and assembling and installing the grass catcher). An added plus is the 2 batteries came already charged which I thought was very considerate! So after getting my 2 grandsons to help (hoping they would become invested in the entire process) we went to the backyard to try it out. It actually mows the grass - LOL!!! It's been great, it's easy and uncomplicated to start and automatically cuts off when the handle is released, it's very light weight so this 70 year old grandma (and my 8-year-old grandson) push it around like nothing (even on uphill slopes), and the quality of the cut is comparable to what our paid gardner produced. And the height adjustment is easy and simple to use as well. Also, the battery life is impressive (I can mow the front and back using only 1 battery), and they charge pretty quickly. So all in all, I would definitely recommend this mower to anyone who is a first time "mower" like me (or even a seasoned "mower" looking for something easier to use). ... show more

  • Like a toy that cuts grass
This feels like not so much a lawnmower as a toy that cuts grass. I bought the 13" to mow my mother's lawn, which turned out to be a surprisingly small machine (that's my bad - I should have actually measured). It is very lightweight and plasticky feeling, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, if being lightweight gives you longer a battery life and makes the lawnmower easier to handle for an elderly or disabled person who might need such a feature. However, it does also make the machine feel flimsy - I have no idea how long this will last in the long run, but my hopes aren't high. As advertised, each battery lasted about 20-25 minutes, which turned out to be not nearly enough to complete her 1/4 acre lawn - I would need to buy at least one more battery to finish it all in one go. The cutting power is surprisingly good if your grass is not too thick, but the handle is a thin metal bar that becomes quite uncomfortable after a short while (I started getting blisters), and the motor cuts off if you release the pressure on the red safety handle even slightly, which I did many times when when trying to take a sharp angle. A better design would have had a full bar that could be gripped by either hand, not just a handle for the right hand. If the return window hadn't already closed, I would send this back and get something bigger and more comfortable. I have a 16" SunJoe for my own home, which I really like (more substantial and the batteries last longer) but this was on sale and had a ton of positive reviews, which unfortunately I now believe to have been fake, as the product had only been released on Amazon for a matter of days. I now see that the rating for this product has dropped considerably in the last month since I purchased it. As it is, I will have to decide whether a) to buy a third battery and some bicycle handlebar tape or foam tubing or something to make the handle more user-friendly, or b) to try to sell or donate it to an elderly or disabled person or to someone with a very small lawn, which are really its best use cases. If I had it to do over again, I would spend more money for something better suited to my needs. ... show more

  • Motor backs up with grass, hard to clean out. Lasted two times before it wouldn’t start anymore Motor backs up with grass, hard to clean out. Lasted two times before it wouldn’t start anymore
The lawn mower worked well the first time. Even my hard core gas-only old man used it and enjoyed it. We have little storage and thought this would be a great choice. But it was not. The flaw in design is terrible. Grass blows up into the motor due to the fan under the blade. We had to pretty much break the top to get it all cleaned out and by that time the motor was already kaput. We thought a good clean up would fix it but nope. Once I found the hole in the top and was able to pull out the plug, I saw so much grass in the motor- no wonder it wouldn’t start up. Only used it twice. I even emailed the company about it the first time and never heard back. A sand bag is what weighs down the front. Cheap plastic. Complete waste of money ... show more

  • Don’t buy for the long term
Great little mower when it’s working . Both orders stopped working on second mow. Really disappointed.

  • Easy and light weight. Gets the job done!!
Just used this for the first time. If you have a small lawn it could work for you with the battery life. Would not recommend for large yards being it is small and you get about 40 minutes of cutting grass before both of the batteries are completely dead. Recharging them was not bad and didn’t take all day to charge one battery. I was able to cut my lawn with 2.5 worth of battery life in a few hours which isn’t too bad in my opinion. This is great for elderly and women that have difficulty starting gas lawn mowers. Assembly for it was very easy and instructions are pretty easy to read. I just had to put the bars on, the bag and connect the cord and I was ready to go in under ten minutes. Would recommend this lawn mower. Will update review if anything changes. ... show more
