  • Delivered a day early.
Guess what showed up a day early ? ... I haven't tested the mowing action yet. I believe we're supposed to get a pretty good rain tomorrow, which should kick off a growth spurt...There was a little assembly to be done, mount the seat and connect the battery cables. The uncrating was a workout, they had that thing wedged & fastened 10 different ways, and then they may it difficult. In the end, a neighbor, Dinz (my Wife) and myself, grabbed ahold of the rear frame bar, lifted and pushed the mower, and essentially "rolled" the rear tires onto the remaining portion of the pallet, and slowly rolled it across, and gently lowered it down once we reached the clear end of the pallet...I checked the oil prior to starting. They had just enough gas in it, for it to start and run for 10 seconds (seriously)...It's going to take a mowing or two to get used to the push / pull bar steering...This particular unit came with armrests built into the seat and an LED lamp bar, up front and under the foot rest plate. Of all the videos I watched and in their descriptions, these features were considered "extras"... One thing I'm going to do prior to actually putting this mower to use is...In two of the videos I watched of this Husqvarna Z242F series mower, there were issues with the Lug nuts coming loose. One unit was brand new, and the driver was actually still there from the time of delivery. The other time, it appeared the mower had been used for some time. In the first incident, the wheel's lug holes had some noticeable damage, although the owner had tightened the lug nuts down, and he seemed content. However, in the 2nd incident, the wheels lug holes were so wollered out, the wheel had to be replaced...This got my attention, and I'll be removing one lug nut at a time, and applying some Lok-Tite on the lug itself, and then replacing each individual nut, as mentioned, one by one...Just a heads-up. Simple preventative maintenance, may save you a somewhat expensive repair or replacement in the future. YouTube has great, how to videos, some are amateur and others are from Husqvarna themselves. I've watched 20 - 30 videos so far, and I haven't even cut my grass yet. I am mechanically inclined, but at the same time, I'm not what I'd consider a "mechanic"... Overall, so far my experience has been excellent. The delivery came a day ahead of scheduling. The minor assembly required was very simple. I did find an "extra bolt", that I have not found what it's function may be, but it may be a bolt, misplaced or lost, from the shop of delivery... With the 10% off coupon, added sales tax, and then the 5% Amazon Credit Card "Kickback", I'll have spent just under $3500. Another bonus was, Free Shipping, and compared to various options, that was an additional savings of up to $450. I hope Your experience will be as pleasant as mine has been thus far. ... show more

  • Traction issues
First ztr I've owned. Bought it to mow approx half acre yard so I could mow and not have to use a push mower anywhere. This accomplished that. However the tires on a machine this light tend to spin everywhere. I took the time to learn the proper technique of turning but I often got stuck on level ground. I have installed so atv mx style tires and it made a world of difference. If I mow at full speed like I'm in a hurry I still spin. Otherwise it goes just fine. My yard has a slight grade throughout...very slight but there non the less. I can now tell my drive belt slips slightly and I have to hold a decent correction on the levers to go straight up and down the yard. I plan on replacing the belt with a gates power rated belt if they make the correct size. The deck belt also came slipping quite bad. Tensioner spring is not strong enough. Adjusting the tension to max does keep it from slipping but the spring tension is no where close to the previous tractors I've had. Last con I'll add is the deck lift assist spring. If you raise the seat you will see 1 spring even though there is a space for a second on the other side. This is correct nothing missing. Do yourself a favor and add a second spring. Makes the adjustment lever perfectly balanced for quick and easy height changes. Now pros. The deck and blades are awesome. Throws grass similar to a commercial mower. Will not clog or throw clumps even if mowing too tall wet grass. The kawi engine also has all the torque you need to mow in those type of conditions. Only negative on the deck is the discharge chute is over exaggerated. No reason my 42 inch deck needs to be wider than my craftsman 48 inch deck mower. Overall if you plan on upgrading the tires. Which I recommend to go taller on and air them down around 3psi you will get a smooth ride with decent traction and the speed picks up to something more that you would expect from a ztr. Mine was purchased through a local Husqvarna dealer and not from Amazon. Fyi tractor dealers dont care about what you have to complain about after buying the lowest priced model. So order online, big box store or w/e I don't think it matters too much unless your spending over 5k on a machine. ... show more

  • missing bolts
The lawn mower came missing 3 bolt and nuts. It had no battery. It also had scrapes on the mower.

  • Zero turn
After you get it adjusted, it runs perfectly fine. Cut the grass perfectly fine.

  • Seller is Excellent
Seller was courteous, prompt and helpful. Received the lawn mower early. FedEx Freight did a good job. Seller helped solve a couple of mower ‘bugs’, but all is good now, and we are pleased with the purchase.

  • Steering was really bad
The mower arrived ok but the steering needed major adjustments and still needs more adjustments before it will steer straight. Do better.

  • Don’t do it
Received the mower on Friday and bought the extended warranty . It has not moved from my driveway. The right rear wheel is locked and will not release. Husqvarna does not answer the phone on weekends. Apparently the machine has to sit outside in the rain until someone helps. Husqvarna authorized dealers are no where to be found in this area. Do not buy this machine ... show more
