This is an AWESOME thermal printer! It is compact and takes up almost no space on a desk. Yes, the labels will have to be outside the printer, but there are lots of options for label roll holders (I use fan-folded labels and just have them conveniently staked right behind the printer (there's lots of room since this printer is so compact, did I mention that?). The print quality is GREAT - better than other thermal printers I have tried. I'm using this for shipping labels, but I can see how this could be used for so much more than that (and now I have the ability to do that when the time/need comes!). The only reason why I have marked it down a star is that I have not yet perfected how to easily print eBay shipping labels. I think it is just my impatience, but once I have it figured out, I'll come back to share my secret. For now there is a work-around putting the label into my Adobe Reader. Not a deal breaker, but an extra step I should be able to figure out how to avoid. Still, all in all, this is an AWESOME thermal printer that I am happy to RECOMMEND!

I had tested a Bluetooth shipping label printer just before I got this one. The Bluetooth printer was a problem from the get-go. It required the use of the manufacturer's application, which was quirky at best. When I saw this USB shipping label printer. I jumped for it. The printer comes with a USB thumb drive containing the needed driver and documentation (sparse, at best). Installation is as easy as putting the the thumb drive into your computer, and clicking on the driver you need (Windows or Mac). Be sure the printer is plugged in and connected to your PC/Mac before you begin installing the driver. That's it. The printer is installed. You can test it by opening the FAQ document that is on the thumb drive. It gives you access to a sample label and clear instructions on how to print it. The test went flawlessly! The quality is excellent. I used my own labels, not the sample that came with the printer. The output was perfect! Here's the rub. In order to print perfect labels, you need the image of the label to be all by itself on your browser or in Adobe Acrobat or Adobe Acrobat reader. It has to be alone on the page and probably fill it. Then you can print simply by selecting the label printer, and clicking onf "fit to page." The result is magic. I had an Amazon return to process. Amazon doesn't put the label alone on the page. In fact it puts the label sideways on the page along with other stuff. The only way I could print the shipping label was to do a screen capture of just the label and then paste it into Adobe Acrobat. Then I used Acrobat to rotate the image to be correctly oriented. Then, I printed it. A lot of work! Maybe others provide the label alone as a PDF file. That would make things a lot easier. I'm sure that once I figure out each vendor's output, it will be a simple workflow. In the meantime, I have to say that this product is great! The driver allows easy printing from a variety of applications (Google Chrome did very well). Labels are inexpensive and easy to get. The printer is super fast and never needs ink or toner. Just clean the print head once in a while. I'm very happy with this printer. One extra word of advice. Avoid unplugging the USB cable from your printer and then plugging it in again in a different slot. The driver will think you have another label printer and will create a new printer in your system. One will be the active printer and the other will look the same but be the old USB slot you used before.

This label printer is a game changer for those seeking an efficient and small space solution for etsy labels, etc. The best part of this printer is that it is very COMPACT! It is great for apartment dwellers and kids rooms. I got it for my teenagers to start their etsy businesses. I am satisfied with the print quality if we are just doing shipping labels. Setup is quick and the instructions are thoughtfully laid out. It did take a while to get everything configured properly but that's to be expected with anything. I actually thought it would be worse than it was because this is kind of a no-name brand, but I was pleasantly surprised. While it excels in most cases, printing labels perfectly will require fine tuning and formatting adjustments, especially for labels like those for Amazon. With practice this becomes a minor issue. It's fantastic for anyone needing a small space solution.
