This is before I try to use it. Reminds me of an auger bit. Except the tines are tapered, whereas an auger has the same size tines. Still, I have hard pack clay ground to attack and I wonder if this will act like a screw, or an auger. Updating to come. Still looks well made, love the nut driver. I will begin driving it with an impact drill and finish with the loop part and a cross member inserted through the loop. If I decide to use the strap, that will be the only way to apply tension to the strap. It's interesting that there are no pictures showing the strap being used. First you cannot attach the hole in the strap to the loop. The loop is closed/welded, and the hole is, well, a hole. So unless you use a carabiner to attach the strap to the loop, you can put the strap on the rod before you screw in the loop end to the rod. In that scenario, you can then turn the rod, using the loop and a cross member, such as a long screwdriver, or wrench handle, and thus apply some tension to the strap that has been attached to whatever it is that you are trying to anchor. That is my hope. :)

I have a nice 13 X 13 canopy tent and at times the wind likes to knock it over. I seen tent stakes pull out of the ground when it is real windy but not with these stakes. Zips into the ground fast with a drill and havent had my canopy tip over since I started using these.

This is a case of don't just look at the picture read the description closely. I thought that this was going to be a pack of two ground anchors. It does clearly state 1pc in the description but I already knew what I needed and was in a bit of a hurry that day. when I saw two I assumed two. Oh well my fault. That aside still a very well made product and will do the job I got it for. I would buy it again. It only lost a star for the picture.

I’ll admit, I picked these up hoping they would work like an auger drill bit for planting flower bulbs in the garden. And they only kinda work for that – they just don’t leave behind as big a hole as a tool specifically designed for that job. Now to be perfectly fair, these aren’t advertised for that purpose – they just looked close enough to try. With that out of the way, the bit did go into the dirt in my yard with no problem at all. They seem very sturdy and will work great for their intended purpose. I will definitely get use out of them for keeping things secure in the yard, and especially camping with tents and tarps. I just really like having tools like this in the garage. You don’t know when you’ll need them, but when you do, you’ll be excited to put them to use. My only negative would be that the anchors don’t “stick” with the drill bit. It fits, but it doesn’t click or snap into place, if that makes sense. You have to hold the anchor and the drill at the same time when you start drilling. And when I reversed the drill, the anchor came off the bit, and I had to pull it up from the ground by hand. Not the end of the world, though, and not worth a negative star.

I recently received this "Ground Anchors, Shed Anchor Kit - 15 Inch, Spiral Stakes, Ground Anchors Heavy Duty - Strong Wind Resistant for Camping Tents, Carports, Swing Sets, and Canopies - Earth Anchors (1 Pcs)" which I'm using to anchor an artificial shrub in one of the front flower beds. Installation took only a few minutes as this essentially works like a gigantic screw going into the ground. I like that the drill attachment was included, but I just did it manually since the ground isn't especially hard. I just wanted an anchor that would go deep enough to prevent the topiary from being pulled out during the semi-regular occurrence of tropical storms in this area. The anchor seems sturdy and was very simple to use. I would definitely recommend this anchor to others doing similar landscaping projects!

Everything feels solid and it has a good weight and finish. It easily went into the ground with my drill. It looks like the listing has been updated because I didn’t get a strap or a top to mine. I was able to secure my trampoline though and that is all that matters.

My use case for this was to stabilize a corn feeder installed on an incline from wind gusts and blowing over. This did the trick and I am happy. I particularly like the drill bit attachment which made anchoring it to the ground easy. Pros: - Arrived quickly - This feels like it has been made with quality materials and will work for long-term use. - Drill bit for screwing it into the ground is nice and saved a lot of time. Cons: Nothing really to report
