Amazing. Firm enough to hold its shape, but also yielding and very comfortable. I have sleep apnea and asthma, so lying flat is not comfortable for me. I can easily sleep on my side and back with this wedge. It contours in just the right places. Flat wedges are not comfortable. The contours on this wedge slightly push my back and upper abdomen forward, which leads to easier breathing when lying down. I am sleeping longer and no longer feel the restlessness that usually makes me get out of bed and give up trying to sleep enough. I use a small donut shaped pillow that has a hole in the middle so my ear piercings don't hurt when I sleep on my side, and it works perfectly with this wedge. I like having my head slightly elevated, so any small, thin pillow would work to hold my head up a little higher off the wedge. I work 3rd shift and have been struggling to stay awake after getting a bigger mattress that doesn't work with the smaller "under the mattress" wedge. Lying flat makes my apnea so much worse, but this wedge raises me up on an angle enough to lessen my apnea events, so now I'm getting much better rest. This wasn't for me. It was soft and seemed durable. But I couldn't sleep upright on it. I tried for 3 days but I kept sliding down to the bottom of the wedge pillow which was comfortable. I had to return.
