    • Volume button is confusing
I use this for an audio monitor in my nursery. Picks up the sound wonderfully once you get the hang of it. I was struggling with the installation because the volume buttons are not what I expected. If the monitor is off, the receiver makes an ANNOYING beep sound. The beeping won't go away until you plug in the receiver or higher the volume on the monitor. The receivers volume button also is switched. While I thought the left would be for lowering the volume, it actually highers the volume. There's no real indicator to know what level the volume is at, other than a red mute button. ... show more

Horrible range, cant figure out the volume, constantly beeps, no instruction. Don't be fooled that it is a Motorola.

Good, clear sound. Portable and non-intrusive. I'm using it while I take care of my elderly grandparent as they are bed Ridden so I can listen for issues.

    • Good sounds quality, but with a defect.
The monitor is easy to set up, and the sound quality is impressive. It has a red light indicating there has been no active sounds, which has been convenient when checking from another room. Unfortunately the parent monitor makes a tone whenever the units are connecting or reconnecting to one another. Our units are plugged in, and therefore the connection should be consistent, as they are never close to the 1000 ft range distance. However the tone will sound off at random times in the day and night. It has taken up to 5 minutes to "reconnect" which is not fun in the middle of the night. The product website offers no actionable solutions beyond putting the units in range, which they already were. This might be a good product if you need something for a quick solution, but it doesn't make for a good everyday monitor. ... show more

This is for a 3 year old who has his room and no longer sleeps in the same room with me and one day all of a sudden at 3 am he comes crying into our room with my sister in law saying that he has been crying for a long time scared to walk in the dark and neither I or my husband heard in sound on the monitor despite it being on the highest volume the monitor is set up on my son night table right next to his bed the monitor on my end is also set up on my nightstand I was very upset that we did not hear him cry at all and overall when he snores or is up and talking it is very little we can hear I don't know if the one I got might just be the defective one or if they all are like that but it was not a good experience ... show more
