We bought this to keep an eye on my husbands grandmother who has Alzheimer’s and lives with us. We’ve been struggling with her getting up in the mornings before us and having accidents as she forgets to use the bathroom. Since we put this in her room to keep an eye on her we have had 0 accidents. We’re able to keep an eye on her in the mornings before we go downstairs to check on her and once we see she’s awake we’re able to go down to bring her to the bathroom. The picture quality is decent for the cost of the camera. Definitely able to see what’s going on but it is a little blurry at night. I love that we’re able to move the camera through the monitor as well as play music through the camera. There are 5 different music options including lullabies, waves, and white noise. We have the setting turned on so that when she makes a noise the display on the monitor turns on. We plug the monitor in to charge in the mornings/throughout the day and then bring it upstairs with us around 8pm. The battery usually has 1 bar left by the morning time. I wish it lasted longer but it really isn’t that big a deal to plug it in every morning. ... show more

Very clear and strong signal on the monitor. We’ve gone through a few and this monitor is simple, no bells and whistles, but it works great and has a good price. This works better than the other monitor I bought for twice as much.

As a first-time parent we were a little clueless what we needed in a baby monitor, but I am happy to say that this has pretty much the full package. Key features for us: - Good night vision - 2 cameras. This is important for us bc we keep one mounted above the crib, and use the other for travel (or even sometimes if we're just visiting friends and know he'll be sleeping in a room in his carseat) without needing to unmount anything. - Long range (our townhouse neighbors can even watch him from next door!) and not operated via wifi. We've tried a wifi monitor and it's very annoying to have to set up wifi everywhere you go. - A good size, portable screen for watching the baby. I like it that I have a dedicated screen vs using my phone which I might be using for other things. - Mute button The downsides: - It has a sensitivity feature (i.e., it's supposed to go off only when they're crying very hard). Theoretically this is a very good feature, but I'm not sure it always works well. The instruction manual is impossible to understand, so it's also possible I'm not using it correctly. - Sometimes the buttons to rotate the camera or adjust the volume don't work properly. It's possible to get it done but you might need to turn it on and off, or press the button down to turn the volume up. - There's a light on the camera part that we had to tape off so it didn't disturb baby. My one new feature idea: a snooze option, to mute it for for 5 minutes if you're doing a light form of sleep training :-) ... show more

Okay, we've had this for six months and it is the best monitor you could ask for when considering price point and quality, durability and functionality. It has AWESOME range, I can be on the dock down at the lake and baby can be upstairs 60 yards away. Monitor still works. We have had more expensive monitors and they had bigger screens, more clarity, etc.... but they have broken. This beast is like an old Nokia phone, it's not going to break. It has the clarity to show you if baby is sleeping and the sound to tell if baby is screaming or talking, etc. We will be buying this monitor in the case we ever lose ours, because I don't think it is going to break! ... show more

These are great and easy to use. I would recommend this to anyone that needs to watch more than one kiddo. Or even for a monitor device for keeping an eye on your pets or even what’s going on in the other room while you run to the other room

Just minor things my wife complains about, but none of it is product based all seems like personal opinion/preference of hers. Simple to use, the screen turns off after about 20 seconds which is just enough time to look at baby. Perfect volume in my opinion to hear the baby when they cry. Overall good product for the price Updating review, it still works great only issue ive had now is for some reason the screen wont show how hot or cold it is in the bedroom anymore. So never know if its too hot or cold. And kinda annoying to try to contact vtech. ... show more
