Great value for the price. I have these set up with a Yamaha $K Atmos AV Receiver and am honestly blow away with how good they sound. For the price, I don't think you could do better... or even at twice the price. Perfect size for my room and sound quality id crisp and clear with deep Bass from the subwoofer... Atmos Effects reproduced flawlessly with this setup. Build quality is good... very solid... not as refines as high prices speakers... so if you are more concerned with the way your equipment looks than how it sounds.. then go ahead and spend more money on something with polished smooth edges and a fancy logo.. but if what you really care about if performance... you can't go wrong with this setup.These handle everything I have thrown at them without any problem. Pair this with a 70 inch TV and a good Atmos Receiver... and you will swear you are at the theater... other than not having annoying people talking behind you, and slipping in someone's spilled soda.... and with much cheaper snacks. These perform better than some much more expensive Sony Speakers I replaced with these (Upgraded due to wanting Atmos Capability) ... show more

This is probably the best kit you can get for the price. I’d say it would even beat some of the $500 sets. I bought it for the atmos front channels. Good luck finding anything else with those for a reasonable price. I wasn’t sure what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised. It sounded incredible for the price. With all that being said I did end up replacing the sub and center speaker. The sub it comes with is only an 8” which does the job but it just bottomed out to easily. We like it loud. The center speaker was more of a concern. Don’t get me wrong it sounded great but it wasn’t up to the sound quality I wanted. Hard to describe but It almost sounded like the speaker was in a small box adding a little reverb. I replaced both with base level klipsch speakers. I spent roughly 500 on the full set up and am very happy with it. In the end I’d highly recommend ordering the front atmos speakers and rears separately while adding in a quality center and sub. I didn’t know it at the time but the center is the most important hands down. ... show more

I stumbled upon this immersive surround speaker set after I learned my new AVR, an Onkyo TX-NR676 7.2-Channel receiver, could support a Dolby Atmos 5.1.2 setup. This set of speakers only cost a little more than the well regarded Monoprice 10565 5.1 speakers, which made it hard to avoid the temptation of purchasing despite the lack of reviews on the internet. Now I've never heard the 10565 set (upon which this set is based) nor am I an audiophile, but to my ears these speakers sound just fine. The Vizio 5.1 sound bar setup it replaces pales in comparison. My new Monoprice/Onkyo configuration is more immersive (no pun intended, but quite appropriate), and full. The powered sub works fine for me and I find it plenty loud. One tip: for my room, the immersive speakers work better in the back of the room than the front--I tested with the first race scene in Ready Player One and the audio immersion is thrilling. I realize it's not fair to compare a sound bar to a full basic setup but for those who are ready to upgrade their home theater like I was, the Monoprice 133831 is an affordable entry point for Dolby Atmos and DTS:X surround. ... show more

Tiny room so Read many reviews and went for this . Had the latest Optoma 4K short throw and the latest denon .. but the speakers didn’t do it for me .. tried many setting for the woofer and it’s almost 3 months and am given up with this speaker systems. May be it is just for me or I am not getting the settings right . To get the best out of speakers we have to wait for few months and I did wait . ... show more

I bought this for my living room, about a 15x20 foot space, I am very satisfied with the room filling sound and the quality of the mids are punchy the high are crisp and the sub produces great lows that you can feel. Over all I would definitely recommend this product for a quality 5.1.2 setup that won't break the bank. My only complaint is that the center channel only contains 2 voice coils (a tweeter and a mid range driver) ... show more

Best value entry level speaker set. Maybe one or two cheaper brands, but others will fail you. I have had my set for almost a year and a half with no issues. You may be able to get slightly better sound quality with a name brand, but it will cost more than double.
