RECOMMENDATION: Thumbs up – lightweight and pretty easy to mount anywhere. THE GOOD: 1. The clock uses real wood stained to a walnut tone which looks very nice. I can’t say that it is actual walnut but the look is great. Real, matching stained wood is used for both the main clock face and the hangar at the top of the clock. 2. Even though the frame is actual metal, the overall weight of the clock is surprisingly light. That means that you can hang it with just a standard picture hangar or nail (the latter is what we did). 3. There is no second hand, but the gold gear in the middle fo the clock face actually moves on a second hand frequency. You can’t see that until you get pretty close, but it is a cool feature once you see it. 4. The clock uses a standard clock mechanism that most people are probably familiar with. It takes a single AA (not included) which should last at least a year. It has kept fine time so far, as most of the std mechanisms do. THE BAD: 1. At one point right after hanging the clock, it refused to run even though it had a good battery in it. To get it started again, I had to push in the second hand gear on the front of the clock and it started again and has been fine since. That indicates that the shaft for the hands somehow got caught on something, but so far has only been a temporary problem. 2. When you hang it, be sure to extend your hangar or nail out away form the wall so that you can hang the top of the clock with at least ½” between the back of the clock top and the wall. The reason for this is that the top of the clock that acts as its hangar is mounted forward of the back of the bottom of the clock (see pictures). So, if you push the back of the top of the clock flat against the wall, the bottom of the metal hoop of the clock pivots away from the wall and looks bad. ... show more

I was wanting a new wall clock for my office at work and this clock caught my eye so I decided to order it. Here are my thoughts on the DRELIFAM Modern Wall Clock: 1) The clock mechanism is the typical plastic clock that uses one AA battery placed in the back. The time adjustment is also typical for this type with the little wheel on the plastic case that turns the hands of the clock. 2) The clock has a little golden gear in the center of the two hands that turn around. I have to assume they used the gear instead of placing on a seconds hand. I personally think the clock would look better if they placed a second hand instead of the gear, but that is my preference. 3) I ordered the gold version and this is not the shiny metal gold but rather a gold paint look. It looks good on the wall, but again my preference would be for the shiny metal rather than a gold paint look. 4) It comes with three different ways to attach the clock to the wall. The kit includes a sticky back attachment that one would stick to a smooth wall if they did not want to put any holes in the wall. A hammer into the wall hook that uses four small pins that are pounded into the wall. Finally a drywall anchor if one wants to use a screw. I used the pin type and it is super easy to hang it to the wall. This is a pretty basic clock and if the clock mechanism ever gives out you can easily replace it since just about any hobby store sells these little plastic clocks. It is a beautiful clock that is unique in look and certainly gets you comments when people visit. So, if you are after a unique timepiece, you will enjoy this clock. ... show more

I ordered the "DRELIFAM Modern Wall Clock Large Wall Clock with Walnut Dial Silent Non-Ticking Metal Wall Clock for Living Room Home Decor Bedroom Kitchen Office 17.8''× 24.4'' (Black, Medium)" to replace a clock I ordered several months ago. The style of the old clock is very similar to this one, but the DRELIFAM clock has a bit more "mid-century modern" feel to it. The mechanical element of the clock itself is about as simple as a clock can get. It's simple/basic, plastic, 2-handed clock hardware affixed to the mid-century modern ironwork with wood accents. It's relatively large, being just over 2' in height, though the clock face itself is a bit smaller. I had planned to hang this in the hallway (where the old one hangs) but I was unhappy with the amount of negative space afterward and am rethinking placement options. If it somehow ends up not being permanently hung, this will make a nice gift for later. No complaints about this item and I am happy recommending it to anyone looking for a simple, yet classic look of mid-century modern design for their wall clock. ... show more

This is a great clock at a fantastic price! I’ve had it for a few weeks now with no issues. It holds time well and took about 5 minutes to install. Just needs batteries and to be mounted (it’s very light so it’s no problem for a non-destructive hooks). The included mounts work well, but if you have a painted wall and can’t make any tiny holes in it, you might need to look into your own mounting solution It looks and functions great, and the single mounting point means you don’t have to worry about hanging it straight ... show more

So first of all, I can NOT stand the sounds of a clock. Ticking, the motor, whatever it may be, I can ALWAYS hear it and it drives me nuts. I can’t hear a thing from this baby, so I’m ecstatic about that. This clock is so simple, sleek and modern. I love the larger size of it, it fills up a space on my blank wall perfectly, with being too distracting. It functions well, and the hands are pretty easy to see.     • Minimalist design, but a little flawed

This is a cool accent piece. The design is quite minimalist but elegant with complimenting gold and wood colors. But the arrangement to hook it up the wall is flawed. The center part has a larger depth than the top piece where the wall hook goes. So you have to make sure the wall hook is deep enough to not make the center part rest uneven against the wall. But even after doing that, due to the outer circle being slightly elevated, it casts a shadow on the wall in pretty much all lighting conditions. A clock with shadow is confusing to read.
