First, this thing is difficult to get on the very top part of a patio heater. Once I did get it on, it won't fit properly because mine has the extra arm to focus the heat and it's too tight of a fit. That said, I cut off the top portion and used the bottom to protect against snow / rain. It seems to work in conjunction with the cover that came with the unit. So...as long as it holds up (I've heard the zippers break) it'll be ok. ... show more

I was concerned at first that it would cause too much drag and blow over with this. But it’s a quality material and has not tipped over with it on hopefully it will keep my heater from rusting out and give it some longevity since my igniter on my last one only later two years at best

The cover did protect the heater from the elements - so it remained clean and corrosion free. The fabric did stiffen over the period of two seasons outside in the sun and rain, which made it a bit of a struggle to install and remove. Part of that issue is due to the shape of the ‘hat’ on top of the heater, which is not the cover’s fault. The stitching that holds the zipper in place is coming out and I feel that the cover should have a more robust zipper for this application. Three Year Update: The fabric is quite stiff, the top has torn in two places. The downside of a tailored snug fit at the top is that it is difficult to install and remove and as the fabric broke down, it tore. I would probably not buy this one. It is a good price, but also only a one or two season item before it ends up in the landfill. ... show more
