This is my first espresso machine. I am so tired of paying 6.50 for an iced latte from starbucks that I decided for the price I would give this a try. It was super easy to set up. I bought inexpensive espresso pods from the grocery store since I plan to add Mocha syrup to make my latte. You basically plug it in, turn it on, drop your pod in and push the button. Super easy. It is a little noisy but it only takes a short minute so that does not bother me at all. Someone on line said they felt it was flimsy. I is light weight but as long as you go easy when you press the bar down for the pod I don’t see there being a problem. I recommend it based on the price and quick shipping. Also I had a party recently and several “espresso drinkers” used the machine and said it was pretty good in comparison to their expensive Nespresso machines.

Not a stealthy coffee maker. Does this make good coffee: Yes. I've owned about 5 different Nespresso makers since they came out, some Nespresso manufactured, others from a 3rd party makers but still with the Nespresso logo. This is the first "workalike" I've purchased, and only did so because the branded machines no longer offer a budget model. If you own an electric burr grinder, this is about as loud, but at a lower pitch. Still, I think 4 stars overall because it works fine and is by far the cheapest. I set 3 stars for ease of use because of the noise you have to tolerate while it makes coffee.

I really like this machine! Traveling in Europe and Latin America, I noticed that everyone has these things; no one has a Keurig. And the coffee is pretty darn good. I brought back a bunch of pods from my travels and fantasized about buying a Nespresso machine, but they are so expensive (and now they're pushing their new line that doesn't take the "old" pods). So I finally bought myself this as a treat and I have no complaints whatsoever. Mostly I wanted to write to make a few suggestions for future buyers. These aren't a judgment of the value of the product, but things you should be aware of that I kind of overlooked. The main thing is that it doesn't make a big ol' American-style mug o' Joe; it makes a cute little European baby espresso, even when you hit the "large" button. So two reasons that's important are, first, that your big honkin' tall mug won't fit under the spout. You'll need either some dainty little teacups, or some mugs that are wider and not so much tall and skinny. Ironically the 1980s-era coffee mugs I got from my parents or thrift stores work, too; seems like we must have become more addicted to caffeine over the past 30 or 40 years. Go figure. Okay, second reason this is important: I usually end up making a double every time I do it, so I go through the pods twice as fast as I thought I would. I should have ordered twice as many. And in the States, they're not quite as easy to come by as Keurig pods. There are some pretty affordable and inexpensive Nespresso pods here on Amazon, though, so I just order them. Not a big deal. I am impressed with how hot it gets, the buttons on the front seem a bit sticky I am not sure it knows the difference between when you select a long or short shot. It's not programmable as stated so that bummed me out. But coming in at half the price of a Nespresso machine makes it a win.

Save your $$$ and Invest in a better " espresso" machine ! Yes, it's cute, mini and ease of use, looks and sounds great ! Did my Homework before purchasing.. yep and use high quality espresso pods .. Although, ( Buyer Beware) This machine is more of a headache , than anything! At least for me, or Am I doing something wrong.. could anyone help with a better espresso pod ?? Since my espresso was weak , watered down in a 1.5 Oz espresso glass. (Thought ,I made a mini Americano ) ;) Seriously , I don't mind pushing the button ( picking espresso or Lungo ), holding the button for 3 secs. NOTE * when not flashing* . Okay, think I have Instructions down.. .. Hmmmm , you Actually have to Hit the Button again to stop the brew ?? , or the machine will keep spouting out coffee.. FYI , Don't walk away while brewing. ***( Yes this is in my instructions , that ya need to stop the brew ) Also no place to program ?? This company has a great affordable Idea here.. Maybe m

My Nespresso died so I needed a quick replacement. The Mixpresso was a same day delivery. I already had the capsules so I didn't want to change to the newer pod design. I love the size of this machine, it has a small footprint on my counter. The discharge container of the used pods holds quite a few, I emptied at ten. I like that the water container has a flip up top vs the removable on most models. My only concern is that the handle seems on the flimsy side and it pulls back the opening for the capsules. The manufacturer has a 1 year umbrella coverage so I'm giving it a chance. The brew strength doesn't seem quite as strong vs the Nespresso but it is still a good cup. Overall I'm very pleased.
