Description

We use it every morning and enjoy out coffee! We got it for the newborn phase and are so glad we did. Can be managed entirely with one hand which is critical when holding a baby nonstop. Highly recommend!

Beautiful machine. Nice heavy weight, not flimsy. Worked first time,lol. Big thick black power cord but I will paint it the same color as my counter to be less noticeable. Loved making the larger pod for iced coffee. It was delicious. Will be ordering a box of that one particular pod. (Agua green pod). I need a tutorial on the pods,lol. It will be fun getting to know them. Just happy to make a creamy Nespresso iced coffee at the push of a button with a nice creamy foam on top. Love love love it! So excited to have it. ... show more

My go-to drink is a vanilla latte, which I make with a very cheap espresso machine with built in milk frother. Unfortunately, I don't actually know how to make anything else, including a standard pot of coffee. I like having this Nespresso machine for when we have company. It takes all of the guesswork out of making a good cup of coffee, and each person can choose what suits them. It is incredibly easy to use, and I liked that it came with an assortment of coffee strengths and flavors. The pods are somewhat expensive, and as the Vertuo is a newer model and the pods are still under patent, you can't get generics. Since we use this machine infrequently and really only for guests, the pod price is not a concern for me. If I was going to use a machine like this everyday, I probably would opt for a model where you have more off-brand options. The waste from using pods instead of loose grounds was a concern to me, but Nespresso does offer complimentary recycling. Unfortunately they don't include a recycling bag with the machine, so be sure to add one to your initial order when you buy pods! I was excited because the white and gold color was perfect for our guest room, but this coffee maker is very skinny and long, which means that unfortunately we need to put it at an angle for it to fit on the cabinet, so it takes up more space than we expected. It is also too long to put in any of our upper kitchen cabinets unless we put it in sideways, which again is a bit awkward. So storage is an issue based on its dimensions, any they probably assume you'll just be leaving it out (and it is certainly pretty enough for that). But for our infrequent use, we don't necessarily need or want it out all the time. In retrospect, one of the models that has the water tank to the side would probably work better in our space. ... show more

Item was returned as defective. Registered my new Nespresso and it showed it to be black chrome. I paid extra for this premium color of creamy white with gold. Called Nespresso customer service 3 times to get it changed to the correct machine with no luck. It also would unpair from the app and I had to repair it every morning by doing a factory reset on the machine. So I was quite over it and returned it. I have read reviews about the Next for a while. There are a lot of people reporting that they leak and break down. I have had several of these Nespresso machines and haven't had one leak. I got a Next machine from Costco several months ago and have not had any issues with it, at all. This one has been no different. The Costco machine is silver while this one is quite lovely off white with gold trim. It is super easy to set up and get running within minutes. It comes with a sampler pack so you can taste the coffee to decide on a pod that you like and you know what to order. The Next machine is not automatic open/close like some of the other machines. You do have to hold the top down while locking it in place and that could be an issue if you have any kind of condition that makes fine motor skills difficult or you have low muscle tone in your arms. These Nespresso machines do brew a tad cooler than others, however. My original line machines brew at between 140 and 150 degrees. The Keurig brewed at about 162 and this Next brewed the coffee at about 142 degrees. If you like milk/creamer, then you can froth it with heat or simply heat it up and it will help keep the coffee a little warmer. I usually heat up my creamer in the milk frother and pour my coffee into an insulated cup and it stays warm enough to drink for several hours-it's just not HOT. I have had several machines because I find them on Marketplace and buy them cheap. Then, I give them away because we go through phases of use-sometimes Nespresso, sometimes Keurig, sometimes mushroom coffee, sometimes Dutch. I feel like they are in the way, so out they go. Then, I get in the mood for Nespresso, again, and in comes a new or "new" machine. One of these days, I will just keep them and wait until we cycle back. I have gotten several used machines and rarely have issues with them not working. They seem to be pretty reliable, overall, even with early struggles with the Next machines leaking. It seems as though Nespresso/DeLonghi/Breville have fixed those issues. I love this machine. It makes a good enough espresso that it tasted like my morning lattes came from a shop, it's pretty, and it saves me several dollars per coffee over the coffee shops. I also really appreciate that I can control what goes in my coffee. I know how much of what goes in and can make sure that my morning coffee isn't making my sugar skyrocket. I have used Nespresso for several years and don't plan to quit any time soon. Oh, I almost forgot the MAIN reason I tried this machine initially. I love coffee but I hate the clean up. I DO NOT want to have to clean the coffee machine in the morning before I head off to work because I am usually cutting it pretty close. I want a machine that I can just put in a pod, press a button, go get dressed, then come back and the coffee is done. When you open this machine, it ejects the old pod and there is not rinsing, dumping, or any type of clean up to manage before running out the door. It is so fast, easy, and convenient. ... show more

I'm reviewing "Nespresso Vertuo Next Coffee and Espresso Maker by DeLonghi, Creamy White with Gold" which I received via the VINE program. This is my third Nespresso machine. I'm drinking a latte I made with it as I type this review. I really love the coffee that I get from this machine. I also have a milk frother to make all the frothed milk coffee drinks but a latte is my go to. My prior machine was one of the Nespresso Pop machines, a bit smaller than this Next machine, lower water capacity and it would only fit smaller coffee cups, not the insulated travel mugs I prefer. It was ok but I was limited to just brewing into a traditional coffee cup. With the Next, I can brew into the larger insulated travel mugs and I can also brew the larger Nespresso pods that make larger cup sizes. Refilling the water container is easy whether leaving it on the machine or removing it to refill. It's position on the back means I have to look to make sure I'm not out of water but I can adapt to that pretty easily. As far as the looks of the machine, I really like it! The creamy white with gold accents is modern looking very sophisticated and looks great on my coffee cabinet. You open and close this Next with the gold lever on the top. I have arthritic hands but have no difficulties opening or closing the lever. I had significant issues doing so with my Pop machine. It also has a drip tray that will slot into various openings to accommodate smaller cups or it can be removed to use larger travel mugs. I also love that the machine comes with an assortment of different types of coffee so you can try a little of everything that Nespresso has to offer. You are locked into the Nespresso Vertuo pod ecosystem and can only use their pods for the machine, but that is still cheaper than daily trips to a coffee shop and easily ordered directly from Nespresso or I get mine on Amazon. I have not tried the Bluetooth feature yet and not sure if I will or not but all in all, I highly recommend this for anyone who is a true coffee nut who loves not spending a fortune to get their daily latte or espresso fix. ... show more
