Has a great mild citrusy smell, and foams up real quick. Squeeze a little in my scrunchie bath scrubby and we’re good to go. I’ve had no issues with irritation, seems to be very mild.

I like this cleanser bc it's got all natural ingredients (I read through all of them), very nice and faint scent. Perfect for those who have oily skin and get acne very easily.

After using this for a couple months, I have a few specific comments but I haven’t noticed anything particularly groundbreaking or noteworthy about the product itself. I do however like the ethics of the brand as a whole (vegan, cruelty free, sustainability, transparency) as far as what I can tell from their marketing and a brief google search. I did do a lot of research into the ingredients and I found that they are a lot better than most other body soaps. A lot of other skincare products claim to be “un scented” or “fragrance free” while still having a bunch of other irritating perfuming ingredients like high concentrations of essential oils etc. Since this product is unscented, the smell is kind of a weird earthy/oceany smell that I’m assuming is because of the seaweed. I didn’t like the smell at first, but it’s not very strong and as far as I can tell it doesn’t linger on the skin. My family didn’t notice any weird smell after I started using it at least. It’s possible that this also means it’s not as deeply cleansing as I feel like recently I’ve started to get smelly slightly quicker than I used to, but it’s also getting very hot where I live which may be the only culprit for that. I have a problem with dry legs especially when shaving and it’s gotten a lot better ever since I started using a new set of products. I can’t give all the credit to this as I’ve also been using different lotion and shave cream, but I do think that it’s a helpful factor as a body soap that’s not harsh and doesn’t strip the skin. I don’t have particularly sensitive skin so I can’t speak much to that, but I haven’t gotten any irritation using this. ... show more

It arrived fast and very secure. Straight from the bottle I can smell the peppermint and rosemary and it was very pleasant. When i went to wash with it, it lathered well but it smelled like lime and pine. I could not smell the scent on my skin either after I rinsed. I would not have minded a stronger seaweed smell. I like The Seaweed Bath Co.’s Body Cream a lot, so I decided to try the Body Wash. The Unscented seemed like a promising alternative to fragrant gels, when I want to give my senses a break. The Body Wash is a clear shower gel with a tint of brownish green. It has an odd smell, if I stick my nose in it, but I don’t smell anything when it is diluted with water in the shower. This wash contains a variety of oils: coconut oil, neem oil, kukui oil, olive oil, castor seed oil, babassu seed oil. I wondered if it might leave an oily residue. Happily, it does not. The Body Wash leaves my skin feeling less stripped than other shower gels. The skin is clean and free of the oils I wanted to wash off, without losing a lot of moisture. This is a good choice if showering every day, as the Body Wash is not as drying as most shower gels or soaps. It lathers a lot –more than necessary- and washes off clean, leaving nicely conditioned skin.
