I looked at a lot of cast iron skillet options, and after reading the reviews of them, I decided to buy this one. It was a great choice! I especially like the small handle opposite the main handle because it makes it easier to pick this up and carry it when it's hot. The heat distributes evenly, and when seasoned correctly, this is non-stick (well, unless you burn something, but that's easy enough to clean off with a copper scouring pad and hot water. don't ask me how I know ;) ) ... show more

This skillet is a delight to use. It's heavy and holds heat well. The large helper handle is great for moving from kitchen to table. It took seasoning well and was nonstick in a short time. Note, I did partially sand it before seasoning.

Because I have used cast iron most of my cooking years, I was happy to see the availability of this pan. I like the weight. The cooking integrity isn't what I expected, as items stick when cooking. I hope as I use it that issue will become less of an issue.
