My husband and I aren't really good at putting things like this together and when we do it together, it can be disastrous. 15 years ago we installed a ceiling fan in our old house, we joke that doing so almost ended our marriage. So when I decided we should get a fan for the new house, he reluctantly agreed. Our criteria was for it to work with our Alexa and our Smart things app. It came quickly and we grit our teeth and got to work. To our surprise, it was so easy to put together and install. I'm happy to say that our marriage is intact and we are enjoying the breeze this silent fan puts out. The best part is we don't have to crank up the a/c so much. That alone is saving a small bundle. The fan was good for the time it lasted. Unfortunately I didn’t even go a year with it before mother board gave out. I verified power was coming in but from mother board or controller it wasn’t coming out to fan. I will try to contact support and may change my review based on their actions and if fan works again but definitely not happy that it didn’t last a year ... show more

I purchased this fan to replace a noisy Hunter Palermo fan that no longer reached its high speed. I purchased only Hunter fans for the last 25 years, or so, but more than one developed issues (mainly noise, but also speed as mentioned above). I decided to try the Minka Air and have liked it a lot. If you can remove a ceiling fan, you can install this one. It was pretty easy. It has 6 speeds so you can go from moving the air only a little to a lot and it very quiet thus far on any speed. The light provides plenty of light, too. ... show more

Amazingly simple instructions and well designed. The remote is easy to use, the fan is incredibly quiet, even on the highest speed, and the light is exactly right. After 3 hour of prep the fan didn’t work. So I traced wiring to be sure. Nope it was the fan, my thoughts were the controller which had a date of 2021 on it. So was it used I dunno. I do know it didn’t work. So I sent back
