Called the manufacturer, sent a kit to fix the rattle. Can’t run on high, only low speed with no rattle. Too much trouble to hire another electrician, deinstall and put up another one. Avoid this brand.

Installation was much easier than I expected, and I love the aircraft propeller design. I didn't use the remote since we have wall switches for the light and fan. It has one speed only, but it's effective. My installation is for a three season patio.

Overall we like the fan; very quiet and moves the air sufficiently in a large great room with 11 foot ceilings. Some negatives: 1) only comes with a short down rod. I had to order an 18 inch one then paint it to match the finish of the fan purchased. This was pretty challenging given the finish we purchased. In addition, I had to order a Hunter down rod in 1 inch. Be careful as many down rods are 3/4 inch and it isn't specified in the order information. 2) to reverse the fan blade direction you must go up on a ladder pull up the dust cover on top and flip a switch. Most fans now this don on the remote. Overall a nice fan but not as highly features as our previous one which had shorter blades. ... show more

    • Makes creaking noise.

Cool looking fan. Love the style. However, the wood blades overlap on the motor housing and make a creaking noise on high speed. High speed is not very high, you can feel the air but it is not enough. You can also hear the motor as it is an AC motor not a DC motor.

This fan stopped working after 6 months. My electrician says the receiver thay communicates rhe fan with the remote is not working anymore. That sucks because this fan is so expensive.
