  • It's So Quiet
A wise choice for my 80-year-old father, despite my initial hesitation. The pedal can rotate in both forward and reverse directions, which is of great help for knee rehabilitation.

  • Designed for Gentle Leg Motion, Not Intense Exercise
The media could not be loaded. I tried out this elliptical machine mainly to help a family member who uses a wheelchair and needs a bit of assistance with leg circulation. To be clear, this device isn’t really for muscle toning or strength training. Instead, it’s focused on gently moving your legs automatically to promote circulation. You can place your feet on it and let it run in electric mode, which is really what it’s designed for. While it is possible to pedal manually, it feels a bit awkward and isn’t really suitable for a self-powered workout. It’s definitely more for letting the machine do the work to keep your legs gently moving. In our case, it works well for my father-in-law, who has limited knee mobility and needs just mild passive movement. We keep it on a low level, and it helps with circulation without requiring any effort on his part. Assembly is very simple—just attach the footplates with bolts using the included tool, which takes a few minutes. The unit is very compact. It does have a handle to lift it, though, since it needs to be plugged in, you likely won’t be moving it around too often. The design is nice and sleek, but most of the exterior is plastic, which makes it feel a bit less premium for the price. Also, the remote doesn’t have a display to show the settings right in your hand, so you need to look at the main unit’s display. This seems to be common across similar products, but it’s something to be aware of. There are speed levels from 1 to 12 and preset programs also from 1 to 12. You can’t customize these presets, but if you don’t use a preset program and just press start, you can freely adjust the speed as you like. Overall, it’s a bit on the pricier side compared to some similar units, so it might be more appealing if you find it at a discount. ... show more
